ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE

The Entertainment Committee is here to create events for our members, by our members. We had a big event on February 25th where over 200 members enjoyed the South Shore Cruisers for dinner and dancing – It was a fun night of live music from the ‘50s, ‘60s & ‘70s .

Join us in the Lounge, we have great entertainment for the "Final Friday" of each month. March 31st, we have Chello Hollyday (Tall Ship weekend) - Visit Member Central on www.spyc.org for details.

Our committee has put a great amount of work into a robust event calendar for 2023. Make your plans to join us for these fun filled events:

· Fri., March 17th - St. Patrick's Day - Complimentary Corned Beef & Cabbage Lunch (members only) ...Green Beer also available. At night, the Band will play fun Irish music in the Lounge.

· Thurs., March 30th - Tall Ship events – Details coming soon for Pier Dolphin Cruises on this afternoon to see the boat parade; we are working a special discount for SPYC members. Stay tuned, as we are also working on a possible “sail away” on schooner from the SPYC docks. (Stay tuned for more details via the weekly email blasts.)

· Sat., April 1st - Tall Ships Booking Reading & Presentation by Will Sofrin, author of "All Hands on Deck".

· Sat., April 1st - Annual Downtown Poker Run - details from Powerboat Committee below.

· Sat., April 15th - Casino Night - this will be a great event! Plus, it’s a fundraiser for Jr. Sailing Program SPAR – DJ & photo booth, casino games, food, plus beer and house wine are included.

· Sat., April 29th - Dock Blowout & Key West Street Party with the Fleet Committee. We are bringing back the historic Shrimp Boil! Includes a Live Band as we celebrate the dock shutdown.

· Sat., May 6th - Kentucky Derby party - Bigger and better this year. Best hat, best dressed and best couple contests. Enjoy games, food and drinks in addition to the big horse race!

· Sat., May 20th - Save the date for the “Catalina Wine Mixer” (more to come)

· Sat., June 10th – NoFilter Concert – This was a super popular event last year. We booked the NoFilter band again for your enjoyment. See the band at https://www. nofilterband.com/

· Sat., July 22nd - Annual Buoy Ball with DeLeon band in the Ballroom. Get your best Nautical costumes ready!

Join us for a Poker Run!

SPYC Boaters will chart a path of adventure in their well-curated themed boats for fun in the sun! The Goal - boaters are tasked with visiting all of their given stops along the way collecting poker chips. In the end, each participant exchanges their poker chips for poker cards and plays a 5-Card Poker hand! Prizes awarded for the Best Hand, Best Boat Theme and Best Dock Stop.
