What a term it has been. I cannot thank the staff enough for all the work they do to ensure your children have the best possible learning experiences. They have all had to adapt to a different way of working in our bubbles and follow our guidance on Covid-19. The teachers and teaching assistants have been sensational, the children have been at the heart of everything they have done and wherever possible they have shielded the children from the anxieties and anguish that society is experiencing due to the pandemic. The children have had a stunning term, throwing themselves into new challenges always with an ‘I can’ attitude. Several of the children arrived at school having spent up to six months away and all of them have displayed a considerable amount of resilience and have re-established relationships and re-connected with the learning process so seamlessly due to the work around our resilience and recovery curriculum. Well done children. Thank you to all of our brilliant support staff; medical team led by Ashley Mason, Facilities Assistants led by Steve Howarth, cleaners led by Chris Alder, Catering team led by Stuart Norwood and Craig Robinson and also Georgina and Caroline in the office. Thanks finally to you, the parents, for your continued support, working in partnership with the school. We will be in touch early in the new year with details regarding next term. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous new year in 2021. Love and best wishes.

Of course, we must start by emphasising how proud we are of all of Year 2 for their fantastic performance on Tuesday! You have all worked so hard in rehearsals and it definitely paid off. It was such a treat, even for us as your teachers, to see you confidently playing Trepak on the chime bars, playing music you had written yourselves and singing your hearts out. A huge well done! We hope all of the grown ups at home enjoyed it too - we even watched the recording back a couple of times as we enjoyed it so much!

What a fantastic first term it has been in Year Three! Our Resilient Roman themed learning has captured the imagination of the children and we have had an incredible time learning lots of new information. We had a marvellous time visiting Rome, held real Roman artefacts, learned about the story of Romulus and Remus, familiarised ourselves with the Seven Hills of Rome, found out more about the Roman gods, crafted our own Roman inspired pottery, made and ate our own homemade pizzas and much, much more! The resilience, effort and sheer hard work the children have displayed has
