Homeless requiem The 35th Annual
We Will Remember Please join us in fellowship and support at our 35 annual homeless requiem on Wednesday, November 1. The Requiem is a service in memory of individuals who have died in the past year while unhoused. th
The guest dinner begins at 5 p.m., congregational hymn sing-along at 6:30 p.m., and the Requiem Service at 7 p.m. A number of community service providers will be available to our guests from 4:306:30 p.m. in the Atrium including a foot clinic, medical screenings from Mercy Care, hygiene kits from PCCI, and Emma’s closet, a clothing closet that respects the dignity of choice for our guests.
To support the Homeless Requiem, please consider: ? Volunteering. There are many volunteering opportunities available in the days before the Requiem and a variety of ways to help on Wednesday, November 1. You can also support our unhoused guests by simply providing the ministry of presence at the service. ? Making a donation to help fund this event and year-round Cathedral ministries that support our unhoused neighbors. ? Join us this Sunday at the Dean's Forum to hear from Cathryn Vassell on Partner for HOME's work to provide immediate resources and a holistic approach for care for those who are unhoused in the City of Atlanta. Cathryn Vassell has dedicated her career to working with individuals experiencing homelessness and individuals living in marginalized communities for over 25 years. She is currently the CEO of Partners for HOME, where she creates and executes the strategy and vision for ending homelessness in the City of Atlanta.
