KEYNOTE STATEMENT
Flavia Pansieri, Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights PANELLISTS
This event builds upon the outcomes of the 2014 Human Rights Council High Level Panel on human rights mainstreaming. It aims to generate vigorous discussion on how to mainstream the rights of children on the move in relevant migration and development policy frameworks.
The discussion runs in parallel to the 2014 International Dialogue on Migration and provides a unique opportunity to bring together experts on migration, development, human rights and humanitarian issues to reflect on an inclusive agenda where the rights of children on the move occupy a central part. Specific attention will be given to the achievements and challenges in mainstreaming the human rights of migrant children in the work of the UN System and how they can be successfully integrated into the post 2015 development agenda.
