ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Stratford Hall is excited to introduce our program for the summer break called Sabres Summer! We believe our program will offer the opportunity for children to learn new skills while also helping build new relationships, develop self confidence and have fun over the summer break. Sabres summer will offer various activities based around week long themes delivered by Stratford Hall Staff.

Week 1: July 6 - 10 Week 2: July 13 - 17 Week 3: July 20 - 24 Week 4: July 27 - 31 Week 5: August 4 - 7 (BC day August 3) Week 6: August 10 - 14 Week 7: August 17 - 21 Full day camp will run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. All participants must be signed in/out by an authorised parent or guardian.

ACTIVITES Sabres summer will include weekly themes that all summer activities will be based upon. Summer activities will include; Art (Drawing and Painting), Craft making, Physical activity and games, Story Time/reading and science experiments. Stratford Hall will have fun free play opportunities and outdoor play (MYP/PYP rooftop and Clark Park) for all children as well as the organized activities. DATE July 6-10

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS To ensure the safety of Staff and Students Stratford Hall will follow BC government (CDC and Ministry of Health) guidelines for childcare. Stratford Hall will also follow the below guidelines to ensure all protocols are followed. • • • • • •

All activities will encourage individual play and the summer childcare will be entirely based at Stratford Hall. No field trips or will be included in the Sabres Summer program All children will have their own supplies and will not share with other students during the week. All surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized daily. Children will be grouped into small age appropriate groups. Children will stay within this group for all activities for the entire week. Children will be encouraged to wash hands regularly throughout the day and hand sanitizer will be available at all times If a child starts to feel unwell during the day, parents/caregivers will be contacted immediately, and children will be expected to be collected as promptly as possible. The child who is feeling unwell will be placed in a separate supervised area while waiting to be collected. As a general rule, children will be instructed to avoid touching surfaces and, when necessary, to avoid using their hands to open doors, if possible. All children and staff who are ill with fever, have a cold, influenza or infectious respiratory symptoms of any kind must stay home. All lunch breaks will be staggered to ensure smaller groupings. Breaks will take place in the school gyms and rooftops in age groupings


FAQ 1. What should my child bring? Participants are required to bring the following; Water Bottle, Nut free food (for snacks and lunch), medication (e.g. inhaler, EpiPen) and sunscreen. 2. What are the hours of operation? Sabres Summer will run from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. 3. Will there be before or after care? No, please collect children at 3:30 pm daily. Please call Stratford Hall (604 436 0608) to let staff know you will be late, or are making arrangements for an alternate adult to pick up your child 4. Will uniforms be required? No, children are not required to wear a Stratford Hall uniform. However please bring weather appropriate clothing. 5. Will there be wait lists? Yes, we will maintain wait lists, you will be notified if a space becomes available. 6. What is the Cancellation and Refund Policy? Notification of cancellation must be received no later then 1 week prior to the start of the childcare to receive a full refund. No refunds or discounts will be issued for missed days. 7. Is a consent form required to be filled out prior to the sabres summer childcare starting? Yes, children will not be accepted until consent forms have been signed by a parent or guardian. Consent forms will be available on the first day of each camp week.
