PHOTOGRAPHY FOR A LIFETIME I am so happy you are considering me to photograph one of the most important days of your life! Photography and videography are the most important investments you can make for your wedding and we are unbelievably honored when a couple chooses us to capture their memories! As an award-winning photojournalist, I strive to tell the story of your wedding day. Posed portraits are necessary, but most of the images I capture will show your day unfolding as if I’m not even there. Weddings are so full of emotion, there’s really no need to orchestrate a moment. I step back and document genuine smiles and happy tears.

YOUR WEDDING
MUST-ASK QUESTIONS Since you’ll be spending one of the most important days of your life with this person, it’s extremely important to figure out if you click with your photographer. If you’re comfortable around your photographer, your images will reflect that. Here are a few important questions to ask photographers when you meet with them. ASK TO SEE A COMPLE TE WEDDING. You are paying for hundreds of great images, not just one or two photos that are “portfolio-worthy.” What you see on a photographer’s website, may not be representative of the photos you will receive from your wedding day. Ask for full gallery access to a few recent weddings. WHAT IF YOU BECOME INJURED OR ILL? Life happens, but this shouldn’t be something you have to worry about on your wedding day. True professionals will have a good back-up plan in place. HOW WILL YOU DESIGN OUR ALBUM? Your wedding album will become a family heirloom passed down for generations. Find out the process for album design. Can you give your input? Can you preview pages before they are printed? HOW DO YOU PR OTEC T MY IMAGES? Hard drives can fail. Memory cards can become corrupted. Professional wedding photographers are prepared to prevent these situations.
IS SALES TAX INCLUDED? Be sure to ask about sales tax on photography packages.
IS THERE A TR AVEL FEE? Travel fees vary, but may include a mileage charge and hotel stay depending on the location.
C AN I MAKE PAYMENTS? Wedding photography is large part of your wedding investment. Being able to spread these payments out may help your wedding budget.
ARE YOU LICENSED? Having a license to conduct business legally in the city, county or state is important for our community. Many people are hobby photographers, but if they are charging for their services, make sure you are not enabling someone conducting business illegally.
WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFIC ATIONS? With the advance of digital cameras, a lot of people are now calling themselves wedding photographers. Ask what professional training the photographer has. HOW SOON WILL WE SEE OUR IMAGES? Professional photographs take a while to receive because of the time involved in making sure they are perfect. Ask how soon you can expect to see a preview photo and the final gallery. WHAT IF YOUR C AMER A BREAKS? Having at least two cameras at a wedding is crucial. Ask about backups and how they prepare for technical issues that may arise.

OUR PR OCESS
FROM SHOOT-TO-ALBUM Most of our brides have never hired a wedding photographer before and are not sure what to expect. Here is a rough idea of how the process works for our company:
ONE YEAR BEFORE We require a $500 deposit to hold your wedding date. You’ll sign our contract onine and we’ll provide a few questionnaires for the planning process. SIX MONTHS BEFORE Your engagement session will be photoraphed at a time that’s convenient for you. This can be booked anytime after your deposit is paid. ONE WEEK BEFORE We meet in person or online to confirm all of the details on the wedding information form. We confirm a detailed timeline and family portrait lists. YOUR WEDDING We arrive at the scheduled time and document your amazing wedding story!
THE DAY AFTER We begin the process to edit, archive and prepare your wedding images. We will have a few photos posted to Facebook within 2 days of your wedding. SIX WEEKS AFTER Your photos will be posted to your online gallery where you and your family can view and download. Shortly after your images are posted, we’ll contact you to begin designing your album and products.

considering an engagement session? Why do an enagement session? Engagement sessions are important because they help you get comfortable in front of the camera. For most of our couples, this is the first time they’ve had professional portraits together. Engagement sessions often improve the quality of your wedding day portraits because you already know how you and your photographer work together. Our style is very relaxed and natural. Engagement sessions help us achieve that look more easily on your wedding day. The images from this session capture the excitement that comes with being recently engaged. Many of our couples use engagement photos to create Save the Date magnets or cards, wall portraits and wedding guestbooks.

Great engagement shoot ideas: At the proposal location: After all, what better way to capture an engagement than the place it all started! A picnic in the park: Meaningful memories happen with food, wine and a little ambiance! Doing your favorite activity: Enjoy baseball games together? Let’s photograph at a baseball field. Putt-Putt, Go-Karts, etc can make for a fun engagement session. Capturing your personality and a little cute competitiveness always makes for great photos. A romantic beach: In the morning, evening or any time of day, the sea meets an endless sky for a feeling of forever.
Where you first met each other: Whether your first meeting was a discussion at the library or fumbling for the door at the local coffee shop, going back to your beginnings is a marvelous memory.
Intimate: A flirty, boudoir-themed engagement shoot of the two of you will certainly capture your romance. These sessions are rated PG-13, nothing too risque. Just playful, flirty and fun.
Images with your pet: What better way to capture your new family than by including a beloved shared pet in your session?
At your favorite, cute coffee shop: Quirky and cozy, local mom and pop shops are a great way to take a quick break to refuel and to catch some local, architectural shots with you in the process.
Your favorite skyline: Your city is beautiful at any time of the year, and the skyline shares where you live now, a beautiful location that might change with time. An amusement park: Nothing says fun like the Tilt-A-Whirl to go with your whirlwind romance.
