YOUR FORMULA DESIGNED FOR SUCCESS – BONE VITALITY AND VOLUME IN ONE PRODUCT Vital bone tissue regeneration builds a foundation for the success of the osseointegration of a dental implant and the functional regrowth of periodontal structures. The specific formulation of Straumann® BoneCeramic has been designed to support patients vital bone regeneration, while also restoring and preserving bone volume, which is critical for the esthetic result.

TCP

Hydroxylapatite (HA) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) are both added during synthesis to form an homogeneous biphasic calcium phosphate.

Straumann® BoneCeramic is a 100 % synthetic bone graft substitute with excellent handling characteristics. The 90 % porosity allows for blood vessels and vital bone in-growth through the material, conferring Straumann® BoneCeramic osteoconductive properties.

THE VITAL TISSUE YOU WANT AROUND YOUR IMPLANT Straumann® BoneCeramic gradually resorbs and is substituted by the patient’s own vital bone. A good bone foundation is key for a successful long-term osseointegration of the dental implant.

A STANDARD FOR SUCCESS “We have now used BoneCeramic just over 1,000 times and it has become an extremely valuable aid when augmentation measures are called for. Because of its fully synthetic components, constant volume and very high success rate of up to 99.6 %, it has become a standard here.“ (Dr. A. Stricker) “My choice of SBC for the graft material is based on its osteoconductive and space-maintaining properties, necessary for the long-term support of the hard and soft peri-implant tissues. The degradability of bone ceramic is a desired property, allowing for gradual substitution of the graft with vital bone, capable of achieving osseointegration.“ (Dr. B. Levin)
