Facts about Åland • The Åland Islands are situated between Sweden and Finland, in the middle of the Baltic Sea. • There are more than 6,700 named islands of which 60 are inhabited. • Åland has almost 30,000 inhabitants, and 11,000 of them live in Mariehamn, Åland’s only town. • Åland has been an auto nomous and monolingual Swedish province in Finland since 1921. Åland has its own flag, own parliament, own stamps, own registration plates and own top-level domain (.ax)

Inspiring surroundings – a peaceful meeting venue fresh sea air is included Sometimes it almost feels like time has stood still, in a positive way. The main venues are close by but stress doesn’t reach them. It’s easy to focus, find new angles for ideas and creativity, and open the mind to thoughts that could otherwise be lost in the bustle of everyday life. The venues suit for larger and smaller meetings, for groups from 10 up to one thousand participants. There is hotel accommodation for more than one thousand guests just in Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands.
