JOHN LEGEND UK ARENA TOUR FOR JUNE 2015
GRIMEY NEWS
A
fter an unbelievably successful year that has included a million-plus, platinum selling single (‘All Of Me’), and a worldwide tour, John Legend will return to the UK next summer to embark on his biggest tour to date. The 9-time Grammy winner will bring his tour to the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on June 26, 2015. John recently concluded a sold out UK tour wowing crowds in cities across the country, including Birmingham. A special edition version of his latest album, ‘Love In The Future’ - including his massive hits ‘Ordinary People’
and ‘All Of Me’ - is out now; the goldselling album has currently sold over 230,000 copies to date. He performed a medley of ‘All Of Me’ and his classic ‘Ordinary People’ on this past weekend’s X-Factor, which saw the album jump back up to number 5 on the iTunes chart and ‘All Of Me’ back to number 6.
All Rise As Blue Back On Tour In 15
Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan, Antony Costa and Duncan James catapulted to fame in 2001 with their Top 5 single ‘All Rise,’ quickly ascending to the top of the charts with three #1 albums, scored highly-respectable collaborations with Elton John and Stevie Wonder, and even represented the UK in 2011 at the Eurovision Song Contest. The lads, who are now doting fathers, have grown up before our eyes and their bond has only strengthened over time. The tabloids have followed their every step from chart-topping highs to personal lows. Say what you will about Blue, but no matter how many times they’ve been knocked down, they always come back stronger. Simon has been thrilling viewers on the current season of Strictly Come Dancing, Lee has made a well-publicised appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, Duncan has competed on Dancing On Ice, and Antony has taken tentative steps into the soap opera world, starring in Holby City.
But in the last year alone, Blue has played over 170 shows and events – and the next 12 months is set to be even bigger. 2015 will see them hitting the screens as they launch their new ITV reality show, following the trials and tribulations of Blue as they attempt to run a bar in Ibiza. Their last album, ‘Roulette,’ saw them collaborate with Grammywinning producer RedOne, who has crafted global hits for Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. It is set to reignite the band’s signature style of soaring emotional ballads and energetic pop productions. They celebrate the end of a successful 2014, signing with Sony Music. Back in the studio, the loveable foursome will be releasing the much -anticipated albumin March 2015, and are hoping to make waves in the chart. Blue is well and truly back where they belong; Back in the spotlight and ready to embark on their newest musical chapter. ‘All Rise’ for one of Britain’s most talked-about boy bands.

FRANKIE BRIDGE AND THOM EVANS CONFIRMED FOR STRICTLY COME DANCING THE LIVE TOUR
T
he first celebrities to join the hugely popular ‘Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour 2015’ were announced as pop star Frankie Bridge from The Saturdays and rugby hunk and model Thom Evans will be dancing their way across the country fresh from this year’s BBC One TV series, on the eighth fab-u-lous Strictly arena tour. Zoe Ball will be joining Frankie and Thom on tour, hosting this much loved entertainment spectacular. Zoe knows everything there is to know about Strictly, being both presenter of BBC Two’s sister show, It Takes Two and a former contestant in the 2005 series. More celebrities will be announced very soon. Frankie says: “My Strictly journey has only just begun and I’m loving every moment. I’m really excited to be a part of the 2015 tour. It will be a bit strange performing in arenas without my band mates, but I can’t wait to see all the Strictly fans who have supported me throughout the TV series and get my dancing shoes on again.” “It’s sad to be out of the TV Show as I don’t think I got the chance to show my full potential, but I’m really excited to be invited to perform on the Strictly tour and can’t wait to get back on the dance floor! I’m told that performing in the arenas is completely different to the TV studio, so this will be a chance to really let loose and have some fun out there. Roll on January,” Thom said. TV judge Craig Revel Horwood is once again directing the live tour, so audiences will experience Strictly’s glitz, glamour and breathtaking choreography in this supersized arena spectacular. Frankie, Thom will be joined by other celebrities and professional dancers from this year’s ratings winning show, and will take to the dance floor to recreate their dazzling moves and compete for votes from the judges. Arena audiences will also be able to text vote for their favourite stars via their mobile phones and ultimately decide who wins the prized Glitterball Trophy at each performance.

ell, well, well, its been a while since I wrote to you all - but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about you all. So much for a nice quiet relaxing summer holiday with the kids - you will never guess where I ended up?
6 months ago, I would never ever have thought I would be sharing a house with Olympic Gold Medal winner Audley Harrison, never mind having him make me a cup of tea and bringing it to me in bed haha.

BIGScreen Also, the decision to confine a large portion of this movie to a tank is a unique and inspired choice. It makes the action more visceral and the stakes much higher, as for every tank that is destroyed, there a five men inside who are destroyed along with it, which serves to make the action set-pieces hair-raising and nail-bitingly intense. Under the glitz and glamour of its big name cast, Fury manages to be one of the most unique World War II movies ever made.
A
pril, 1945. As the Allied forces make their final push through Europe, a battle-hardened army sergeant, Don “War-daddy” Collier (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman Tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, War-daddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany and end the war, once and for all. Writer/Director David Ayer’s filmography is a mixed bag in terms of overall quality. It is a bag consisting of the simple yet entertaining popcorn flick The Fast and the Furious (2001), Oscar-Winning thriller Training Day (2001), the fantastic yet slightly flawed Crime-Drama End of Watch (2012) and the resoundingly dismal Sabotage (2014) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. While Sabotage is Ayer’s only genuinely bad film, it was enough to cast doubt over his abilities as a filmmaker. However, Ayer has pulled out all the stops here and delivered his best film to date with Fury. It is a war movie that is more about the relationships built by war than the actual war itself. While there is still an abundance of action, it never gets in the way of character and instead serves to accentuate the relationships between these men.
There is no clear separation between right and wrong or good and evil between its characters. This is a film that goes beyond what is expected of a war movie and resists the temptation to portray the American soldiers as pure, clean-cut heroes. They are battle-hardened war veterans who have been both physically and emotionally manipulated and changed by the atrocities they have
Review wORDS by antony brown had to endure every day. For them, war is a lifestyle now. They are so desensitised to the horrific violence that it has become second nature to them and if shooting, stabbing, burning and torturing people is what they need to do to get to where they’re going, they are more than happy to do so. Because of this grim approach to the story, there are points throughout this movie that you will actually dislike the people you are meant to be rooting for; because you witness them do some truly horrible and down-right spiteful things. However, due to the fantastic performances from the lead cast and the comradery they display during battle, you soon find yourself rooting for them once again and laughing along with them as they make fun of one another. Even though they aren’t the heroes we expect in a film like this, we understand why they have become the people they are and we can sympathise with them. Watching Fury is a truly odd and polarizing experience, in the best possible way. It is more than just a movie about World War II; it is a study about how war affects and changes people, which is what makes this movie as engaging and powerful as it is. Fury may not be the best World War II movie ever made, but it is definitely one of the most unique and unapologetically grim depictions of war ever committed to film. With a simple, episodic plot, a cast of fantastic actors, wince-inducing violence and brutally intense action, Fury is an exhilarating yet frighteningly realistic movie about what it’s really like to be on the front line.

Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular SSE Arena, Wembley, London 23-29th May 2015
Vision Nine and BBC Worldwide have announced that the guest presenter for the UK performances of the ‘Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular’ in May 2015 will be Peter Davison and that one additional matinee performance has been confirmed for Sunday May 24, at the SSE Arena, Wembley. The ‘Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular, which celebrates the world’s longest running science fiction TV series, showcases the evocative and thrilling music written by Murray Gold for the series since 2005
and features over 100 performers including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and members of the BBC National Chorus of Wales, conducted by Ben Foster. The first ever UK shows will be staged from Saturday May 23 to Friday May 29, 2015. Davison, who portrayed the fifth Doctor between 1981 and 1984, acted as presenter for the ‘Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular’ in Australia and New Zealand at the beginning of 2014 and will reprise this role in 2015. He said: “I’m very excited to be hosting the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular in the UK. Doctor Who fans are an extraor-
dinary, wonderful bunch, who are very passionate about the series. The Symphonic Spectacular has already proved to be a monster hit down under with thousands of fans packing into arenas across the southern hemisphere and the UK’s first ever tour promises to be even bigger. I can’t believe that I will be taking the stage at some of the UK’s biggest arenas like Wembley’s SSE Arena and the First Direct Arena in Leeds. With Murray Gold’s amazing music performed live by the programme’s ‘house band’, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, I’m also looking forward to reuniting on stage with conductor Ben Foster.”

McBusted announced their original eleven arena date tour of 2014 last November, with the initial dates selling out in an hour. Due to phenomenal demand from fans and the general public, the tour eventually played to a staggering 350,000 people across an amazing 35 arenas, before culminating in a show stopping headline performance in
London to 60,000 people. Now armed with a superb debut album, and a massive new single ‘Air Guitar’, the six piece supergroup will play the Barclaycard Arena on 28 and 29 March 2015. Every single moment of McBusted’s launch and first year as a band was captured by the band’s long-time friend and film maker David Spearing. The result is the behind the scenes film ‘TourPlay’, which received an exclusive limited release in Vue cinemas nationwide, and will be released on DVD ON November 24. McBusted’s single ‘Air Guitar’ is released November 23, with their debut album ‘McBusted’ following December 1.

Us ladies, we love our shoes, the variety, the styles and pattern we just love ‘em. Apart from stating the obvious, that they protect our feet from the ground, depending on the type of footwear they are they can inject a level of confidence in your swagger allowing you to walk like a BOSS and makes your calves look HOTTT! Is that pretence...Fake..A Front? When we wear heels not only we shoot up in height but we also appear slimmer, our legs look longer and automatically our walk changes...2 reasons why! 1. TO LOOK GOOD, we walk good to look good, sexy and appealing. Tummy goes in, shoulders go back to enhance the chest, back straight and legs go nicely in front of each other its almost like scene from transformers!

2, TO LOOK SENSIBLE, we walk right to stay upright! We don’t want gravity to win and pull us down to earth! No, no we carefully observe the surroundings taking a mental log of risen pavements, stones and sticks in the ground and animal waste! Sometimes when we wear flat shoes we become flat too! Dumpy and Slouchy the cousins of the seven dwarfs from Goldilocks and the three bears. WHY? Even if we simulate wearing heels and raise up to the tips of our toes we instantly fix-up and the posture is modelesque! Pretence is a rather strong word I think but, ladies and gents, lets keep it real, we like to look nice! Ashamedly enough some of us are willing to forfeit comfort over vanity! That’s cool but I will state ‘What goes up must come down! Easy come and easy go!’
