FIRST ROW: Ida B. Wells-Barnett with her children: Herman Kohlsaat Barnett was born 1897, Charles Aked Barnett was born 1896, Ida Bell Wells Barnett 1901 and Alfreda Marguerita Barnett (married name Duster) born 1904. Wells-Barnett's home at 3624 S. Martin Luther King Drive. SECOND ROW: Ferdinand Barnett, who married Ida B. Wells in 1895. She hyphenated her name to include his - long ahead of the modern fashion to do so. Ida B. Wells, standing, left, with Maurine Moss, Mrs. Betty Moss, seated, with Tom Moss Jr. Mrs. Moss' husband Tom Moss was lynched in Memphis, March 9, 1982. After the lynching, Mrs. Moss and her children went to live in Indianapolis where this photo was taken. All Images Ida B.
