StreetWise's annual Nonprofit Resource guide provides an inside look at over 50 nonprofit organizations in Chicago. In our guide, organizations tell us their mission, upcoming events and fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities! This guide includes local food pantries, community gardens, tutoring and mentoring opportunities, and even no-kill animal shelters. One of the main goals of our Resource Guide is to help promote a variety of nonprofits that support everyone's needs and make Chicago better. This is meant to help provide resources for those who need them or to help people find ways to get engaged in the community. Compiled by Paige Bialik

More than 300,000 people were impacted by Chicago Cares' programs last year alone. Volunteer Opportunities Chicago Cares offers a free calendar of volunteer opportunities open to the public, ranging from hands-on and direct-service projects to skills-based and virtual volunteering at www.ChicagoCares.org. We believe that volunteering should be the start of a journey toward equity in our city. For Chicagoans who care, building connections with neighbors, deepening our understanding of neighborhood goals and challenges, and following community leadership, are first steps to deeper involvement in Chicago. Over time, our volunteers become active participants in Chicago's civic fabric. Address 641 W. Lake St., Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60661 Email info@chicagocares.org Website www.ChicagoCares.org
