From the Vicar .... Dearly beloved in Christ, Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As a parish we are meaningfully observing the great lent during these days. Lent is associated with the salvific life and works of Jesus Christ. God’s will for the world is perfected through Jesus Christ. If any one wanted to follow Jesus, it is necessary to deny oneself and take up one’s cross. Lent demands from each one, imitation of the life of Christ on earth and complete obedience to his teaching. Hence participation in lent is an act of solidarity in the incarnation of God in Christ, his suffering, death and resurrection. Lent also helps us to identify ourselves with the sacrificial love of God. That would lead us to the life vision of Christ. Therefore, lenten season is not only a time to meditate upon the sacrifice of Christ but also to see the depth of God’s love and nurture ourselves in the likeness of Christ. To celebrate this lenten season and passion week more meaningfully we are planning for special passion week services in our parish. Our diocesan episcopa Rt. Rev. Dr. Mathews
Sunday School
Mar Makarios will lead the services. I earnestly solicit the prayerful presence of all our parish members during our passion week services. Let us thank God for His mercy and providence during our Harvest Festival. I do appreciate and congratulate those who have directly and indirectly involved in the smooth functioning of our programme. We are planning to distribute the income from the harvest festival to the poor and the needy in our community in the form of house construction, marriage aid, educational support and medical support. Our inter prayer group musical evening entitled Kalvery Nadam was also a blessed experience for all of us. Our children are preparing for their board examinations and annual examinations. Let us together pray for them. We are at the last month of this financial year. I request all parish members to pay our subscription, sandharanam, one day income collection, Good Samaritan fund and other dues as early as possible. Let us prepare our selves during this lenten season and dedicate our lives for the extention and expansion of the kingdom of God. With prayerful regards Bobby Achen
