Nurturing God's Creation Psalm 72:8 May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth! Mankind has the active responsibility to care about the world, look after it, and ensure that the natural resources God has supplied us with are not misused or abused, or that they are not used in a way that is detrimental to other humans. In short, God has appointed mankind to act as stewards of His creation. In the context of the natural world, human stewardship comprises the active management and utilization of the earth’s natural resources for the common benefit of human society in a sustainable way. Many of the problems associated with climate change have arisen because of how human beings have misused that which God has created for the benefit of all creatures. Let us strive to protect this beautiful earth and all God’s creations. St. Thomas Centre Tel : 2564 7060
In the Bible, rain usually speaks of blessings. Even today, Israelis thank God when it rains because they know that when He gives them rain, their blessings will be plentiful. Kerala is among the first that the South West monsoon first showers its blessings on. The always beautiful state celebrates the season, soaks in the rain and reveals God’s providence decked in green and glistening with raindrops everywhere. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.” - Mahatma Gandhi
