When presenters grant permission, posters and oral presentation slides given at this event are permanently available in the Sigma Repository after the event.

Baggage Storage

Due to fire code regulations, baggage storage is not permitted in the meeting area. Please see your hotel’s concierge for information on baggage storage.

Children

Children are not allowed to participate in any conference activities and must be supervised at all times. Check with your hotel concierge about childcare services.

Electronic Devices

As a courtesy to the presenters and other attendees, please silence all electronic devices and refrain from using your phone during the sessions.

Emergencies/First Aid

If you require emergency assistance, please immediately contact Sigma’s registration desk, any Sigma staff member, or the Edinburgh International Conference Centre staff.

Evaluations

Exhibit Hours

The exhibits will be displayed in the Cromdale Hall (Level -2) of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Refer to the schedule at-a-glance for viewing times.

Guests

Guests traveling with you to this event are not allowed to participate in any event activities without purchasing a daily guest badge for US $75 at the Sigma registration desk.

International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame Conversation With the Honorees

On Monday, 25 July, the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame honorees will be presented in the Pentland Auditorium (Level 3). Attendees are welcome to meet and celebrate the accomplishments of these impressive nurse researchers with a series of conversations between Sigma President Ken Dion and the honorees.

Internet Access

Limited wireless internet access is available in most areas of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

Lost and Found

Please visit the Sigma registration desk in Strathblane Hall (Level 0) to collect lost items or to turn in found items. Please refer to the schedule at-a-glance for registration times.

Meeting Rooms

Due to fire code regulations, attendees are not permitted to stand in the perimeter of the plenary and concurrent meeting rooms.

Message/Announcement Board

Attendees can use the message/announcement board to leave a message for fellow attendees, located near registration in Strathblane Hall (Level 0). This provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues at the event. Do not leave messages of a personal nature. Sigma staff members reserve the right to remove postings that are inappropriate. Messages and announcements will not be forwarded to guest rooms.

Name Badges

Your badge admits you to all conference sessions and events and must be visible to security guards, moderators, and staff. If you misplace your badge, please visit Sigma’s registration desk for a replacement. You will be charged a US $25 replacement fee. For your safety, please write on the back of the badge your emergency contact information, any food or medicine allergies, and any significant medical condition(s). Do not wear your name badge while walking outside.

No-Smoking Policy

All Sigma events are nonsmoking. The hotel and host city may have additional rules in place. Please speak with your hotel concierge if you have any questions.

Nursing Continuing Professional Development

Nursing continuing professional development contact hours are available for this event. The number of hours available daily are available on our website at SigmaNursing.org/Congress-NCPD.

Oral Presenter Information

Presenters, please refer to your registration information for the time, date, and room of your presentation. No further sign-in is necessary for this event.

The Presenter Ready Room is located in the Strathblane Office (Level 0), and it provides a place to review presentations. Please note: Internet access is not available on these computers.

The only equipment provided on-site for oral presentations is a computer and an LCD projector. Because of contractual agreements with the audiovisual provider and the possibility of virus transfers, you cannot connect personal equipment (e.g., flash/jump drives, CDs, etc.) to the computers or use it in the presentation rooms. Additional charges are incurred with each violation and may be passed on to you. Please note that this policy will be strictly enforced.

Plenary Sessions

These presentations will take place in the Pentland Auditorium (Level 3). Attendees can be seated 30 minutes prior to the start of the session. For titles and times, please refer to the program schedule.

Poster Information

Refer to the schedule at-a-glance for poster viewing times.

VELCRO® should be used to fasten the poster to the board provided. It is suggested that both sides of the VELCRO® are used. Materials used to ship or carry posters cannot be left in the poster area. Materials may be stored in the designated area in the event space; however, your hotel room is the best place for these items. Neither Sigma nor the Edinburgh International Conference Centre is responsible for any materials left in the poster area. If posters or other materials are not removed from Cromdale Hall (Level -2), they will be discarded.

If you have registered for the 33rd International Nursing Research Congress, check in and pick up event materials at Sigma’s registration desk, located in the Strathblane Hall (Level 0). Refer to the schedule at-a-glance for registration hours.

Rising Stars of Research and Scholarship Invited Student Posters

Rising Stars of Research and Scholarship are nominated students who have been invited to share their work through a poster format. This is an opportunity for nursing students to present their research, literature review, or evidencebased project as a way to elevate the nursing profession by showcasing the scholarly contributions of students from around the world.

Sigma Career Advising

Career advising provides nurses and student nurses with an opportunity to discuss issues and receive guidance regarding their career paths from experienced nursing professionals and nursing leaders. You can sign up to meet with a career advisor at the career advising check-in table located in Moffat (Level -2) Time and space are limited, so sign-up will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Marketplace is in Cromdale Hall (Level -2). Please stop by to view and purchase Sigma apparel, books, jewelry, and other gifts. Refer to the schedule at-a-glance for Marketplace hours.
