Welcome to historic Edinburgh and to Scotland, the land of tartans, thistles, and unicorns! On behalf of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) Board of Directors, we welcome you to Sigma’s 33rd International Nursing Research Congress. The 2022 congress theme is Transforming Global Nursing Knowledge Through Research, Scholarship, and Innovation. You will see this theme reflected in three plenary sessions and the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame, as well as the hundreds of oral and poster presentations designed to make an impact on your professional and personal life. This event provides a unique opportunity to exchange evidence-based information, learn, and connect with more than 1,200 nursing colleagues from around the globe. One of the hallmarks of our Sigma events is a positive atmosphere of support and encouragement. While you are contributing to that positivity, we ask that you please be respectful of your colleagues and our hosts and observe all mask and COVID guidance at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and at any establishment you visit during your time here. As you will notice, we continue to reduce the size of our footprint by minimizing the amount of printed event material.
