Katie Houghton Zigfrid Von Underbelly

DesignMyNight.com

11 Hoxton Square, Shoreditch N1 6NU We don’t know if anyone has told you yet, but London happens to be one of the best cities in the world to be a student. With a vibrant hubbub of incredible bars, pubs and clubs, London boasts one of the most diverse party scenes around; with quirky cocktail haunts and exclusive clubs to be found around every corner. Working for DesignMyNight, London’s nightlife inspiration site, I’m incredibly lucky to know a thing or two about what’s hot in London.

www.designmynight.com/london/bars/zigfrid-von-underbelly-shoreditch

Consider yourself of lucid mind? So did a happy-go-lucky bunch of Goldsmiths students when they opened this mecca for creative kids and party tipples. Looking like something of a homage to junk yard sales and antique Punk oddities, Zigfrid Von Underbelly is a buzzing DJ bar and drinking lounge all weekend long thanks to its late night license and vibrant crowd.

Check out my picks for the current top totty when it comes to bars, clubs and pubs in London and map out your absolute must-visits in London…

Drink, Shop & Do 9 Caledonian Road, King’s Cross N1 9DX www.designmynight.com/london/bars/drink-shop-and-do-kings-cross

I hope you’re ready for some of the most mind-bogglingly fun events that King’s Cross has ever seen. Thanks to this charming little party bar, you’ll be getting knee deep in events such as the ‘Papier Mache Monster Mash’ and ‘Play With Clay 80’s Style’ before you know it. There’s no time for being timid at Drink, Shop & Do where it’s all about getting stuck in, with a slab of cake and cocktail in hand.

House of Wolf 181 Upper Street, Islington N1 1RQ www.designmynight.com/london/bars/house-of-wolf-islington

A cocktail dedicated apothecary, burlesque bound music hall and a Victorian dining parlour; we could go on, but c’mon, House of Wolf is a sight to see yourself. A mesmerising hub for adventurous students, like yourself of course, House of Wolf is a wonderland of Victorian heritage and incredibly cool furniture; perfect for those tickling first dates and special nights out.

A curious, vintage adventure, Looking Glass is the place to spoil your taste buds rotten.

An industrial paradise brimming with vintage furniture and eclectic wall pieces, Shoreditch Butchery has too cracking a line-up of regular DJs and creative cocktails to ignore. A cool, late night party hotspot related to XOYO, Shoreditch Butchery is all kinds of New York cool.
