Just opposite Kings Cross station is a top foodie go-to spot for all times of the day. While far from inconspicuous, thanks to its exterior of brightly coloured graffiti, you’ll be surprised how few people know about it. A great gem for the Euston Road.
One of Hampstead’s best hideaways is Melrose & Morgan thanks to their mezzanine that makes you feel like you’re up in a treehouse while surrounded by delicious treats. Essential tasting is their homemade florintines, which are delicious with a coffee.

Cafe, Goodge Street Go slightly off the beaten track from Goodge Street and you’ll find Lantana, an Austrailian cafe serving top class coffee and delicious, multicultural food including their ‘Crack Cake’ so named because it’s so completely addictive.

wagamama Chicken fried noodles with sausage Ingredients (Serves 2) 100g Thai-style rice noodles 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 egg, beaten and seasoned 2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped 1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped 100g chicken breast, cut into bite sized pieces 50g firm pork sausage, sliced 1 head pak choi, roughly sliced lengthways 1 teaspoon soft brown sugar 1 teaspoon of soy sauce A handful of bean spouts 60g kamaboka-aka sliced 2 spring onions, finely sliced
* Cook the noodles accordingly to the instructions on the packet, drain and refresh under cold water. * Put 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into a hot wok. Add the egg, swirl so that it coats the base and cook for 1 minute. Remove, allow to cool, then roll up and thinly slice. * Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the wok and stir fry the garlic and chilli for 30 seconds. Add the chicken, sausage and pak choi. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes or until the chicken is coked. * Add the sugar, soy sauce, beansprouts and kamaboko-aka along with the reserved noodles and the egg and toss so that everything is heated through. * Serve topped with spring onions.
