thirtyfour.metal Dipped is a collaboration by Nini and thirtyfour which realises singular pieces of jewellery that utilises the same techniques that hark back to the Bronze Age. Utilising the ‘Lost Wax’ technique, thirtyfour.metal pieces are first crafted in exact detail from sculpting wax before it is completely encased in plaster and allowed to cure and dry. Once fully cured, the chunk of plaster is placed in a hot kiln so the wax can melt and burn out leaving an exact mould of the original piece. Once cool, the mould is placed in a casting machine that uses centrifugal force to fill the void with the chosen metal. Dipped jewellery is casted with molten 925 Silver and then very simply, dipped in 24 karat gold. After the piece has set and cooled, the plaster is washed away to reveal the final metal artwork, a reflection of the former wax mould. As each piece is crafted by hand, the jewellery made through this method have imperfections and textures unique to each finished piece, infused with character missing from generic machinecasted jewellery.

thirtyfour.stone The thirtyfour.stone collection features one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces of semiprecious bead jewellery under its mezzaluna range, which is a collaboration between thirtyfour and designer Angie Ng of Solaris. The beads and pendants in this unique collection are made from, but not limited to, agate, mother of pearl, quartz, malachite, Afghan jade and red jasper.
thirtyfour.skin thirtyfour’s leather collection is characterised by innovative styles that were made to be functional. thirtyfour.skin reforms the basic styles of today’s generation by removing design elements that distract, resulting in understated ‘must haves’ that are quietly functional yet surprisingly bold. Duffels, totes and clutches deceive with simple contours but all startle with innovative detailing. Cuffs and belts are not mere adornments but are wellcrafted and usable pieces of art. To date thirtyfour has been occupied with explorations in skin, culminating in four collections of leather accessories.
