The organic nature of neoplasticism A volume with surfaces in different house, full of transparencies that make it integrate perfectly with the garden.

This is another demostatrion of how neoplasticism can be productive today and possibly forever: a composite space in which not the “ from “ but the levels, recesses, corners, differences in surface, and overhangs create a varied and articulated image even with simple elements. In the contemporay era perhaps no other approach has been better able, without indulging in peciosity, to combine this linearity, simplicity, end frankness, with articulation, variety, proportion, and movement so that it become ornamental. In Giulio Carlo Argan’s wellknown teachings, in neoplasticism “lines, surfaces and colour are the materials of construction: 4

Give linearity of the design, between the pool and the building a raport of intimacy is created, favoured by the plurarity of windowed openings, among which stand out the two low windows ( one rectangular, the other square) which match the volume of the chimney, surmounted by a bouble flue. This in turn is glazed, so the fireplace can be viewed from outside.

suspended is brought forward to push back the volume of main body, which is compensated for by pointing to the vertical edge of a volume...... The differences in colour not only show differences in surfaces area but also separate areas ( kitchen, living room, low high). Externally the house looks like an assembly of interconnected volumes; on the interior there is fluid continuity. And in architecture the elements seem to dance, each at their own pace, but all in coordinated movement.

The entrance area is landen with meaning and acts as a filter, passage and also the place in which the interior of the building take concrete form, and reception become immediatly manifest. Here, the furniture column that stands at the concrete is used as a wardrobe, while a chaise-longe indicates comfort, in addition to providing a contrast to the white walls.

The wall covered in stone, topped by a skylingt in the hall stands out: it is rather like a boundart in which any distinction between closed and open space disappears. Several items have been designned specifically for this house: including bookcases, a fireplace, the forniture in the sleeping quarters and in the bathrooms.
