FEITORIA HOTEL & GUEST CONCEPT The ‘Feitoria’ was a former known culinary hotspot in the historical centre of Portimão, it has functioned as a successful restaurant for years and after closing down it became a kindergarten. One part of the building was a former school named ‘Colégio’ and joined together to the kindergarten. The Portimonenses – habitants have positive memories about the lively neighbourhood and the culinary offer of the former ‘Feitoria’. Famous was the inner court with the various levels, a hidden and peaceful oasis in the city centre.

The concept At this stage, not many hotels can be found in the historical centre of Portimão, being the ‘Hotel Globo’ one of the few examples, cause mainly we find the most coast-line hotels at the Praia de Rocha beach till Alvor village. In fact, the historical centre has not yet been discovered and explored, due to various reasons, such as the recent economic crisis, the change of the commercial heart due to opening of the peripheral opened shopping malls, harbour changes & functionality problems. Portimão had lost for a while the tourist attraction, sardines, lively city with a fresh approach and with multiple offer programs for evening and night life events. In fact, in Portimão the living cost is very low according to the diversity, quality and richness of the experiences that can be found in the city. Comparing to other near beach destinies like Lagos, Albufeira, Quarteira, Vilamoura, etc,, the economic level of Portimão is very friendly both for Portuguese and foreign tourists. Portimão is being for a long time known exclusively by Praia da Rocha, however nowadays we have a revival feeling, for instance the Zona Ribeirinha (river line) is seen as an authentic spot, where we can find the real roots of Portimão. Beside that the city infrastructure has been further improved, adding more parking areas, more organised events and rising figures of tourist visitors. Another welcoming tourist contribution are the arrivals of various international Cruise liners, sailor water sports, the incentive events of Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (bringing big group events like BMW, Mercedes, etc.). In comparison with a city like Faro, the city of Portimão has a lack of authentic city centre concept hotels, in the line of examples found in Faro, like the EVA, Faro hotel and the various hip hostels in the city centre. The Feitoria can take easily its position as one of the leading urban city heart hotel, mainly due to the fact that Algarve has a growing boom in visits, the year of 2016 was a record broken one. The targeted mix for the Feitoria, is to develop into the leading Urban Oasis Hotel of Portimão centre. Algarve can be seen as a destination all year around, due to its balanced climate, the low-cost transport system with cosmopolitan connections and growing lines. Portimão is attracting new rising up markets, such as the Nordic countries, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland but as well the magnificent raise of the French visitors.

FEITORIA HOTEL & GUEST CONCEPT Portimão as a destination for your stay In principle, we have in the area a known seasonal pattern, summer months are very wanted for the Portuguese market and the regular mid quality tourism. The target for the Feitoria is to work in a opposite way of the Algarvian traditional sun and sea touristic market, based only on the high season tourism. Therefore, the concept pretends to function on an all-year season, bringing another types of visitors, with the wish to experience a different level of quality hospitality, settled on a urban authentic base, which gives the visitor as well a central access to its surrounding from beaches, to outdoor activities, culture and nature. It is the mixture of the authentic Algarvian lifestyle, which truly can be found in the council of Portimão. Feitoria experience is Feeling like a local with locals; With staying at Feitoria, the guests will be able to experience a unique and homey lifestyle, absorbing the local neighbourhood lifestyle of the Portimonenses, with a close contact with the local inhabitants, speaking and learning from their traditional experiences and beliefs. The guests experience will allow to feel and gain a consciousness of the genuine Algarvian living. Walking in the surrounding small and narrow streets, the guests will really discover the little treasures that form the essence of Portimão, cause the city base was first settled in Roman times with the life from the river, only after came due to flight connections, the connection with the cost of Praia da Rocha. In fact, from this it became one Urban development. The Feitoria is located in the heart of the Algarve, it’s exactly in the geographical centre of this region, close to the International Airport (around 70kms), and due to its outstanding location over the ocean line, the great beaches, the harbour and the inland nature line around the Arade. The wanted new guest market segments; The Feitoria aims to follow and innovate the latest trends in travels, offering new categories & challenges: • Urban Nomads/City hoppers – weekend short trip – low travel cost related • Off season climate holidays seekers • Elderly – active seniors – 50 plus market • Experiential traveller, being local with a local authentic experience • Bleisure tourists, business combined with pleasure • A multifunctional concept that fits and works perfectly for both – short/long stay • National market for weekend stays
