AL WAKRA VILLAGE - AL WAKRA HOTEL AL WAKRA was originally a small fishing and pearling village. It is an authentic heritage of Qatar which has preserved its historical architecture. Our spa and fitness projects in both Al Wakra hotels reflect the traditional Qatari character of a true Middle Eastern village that has been grown and developed naturally.

CONCEPT GUIDELINES | Heritage - conservation of traditional architectural elements The interior design concept is directed towards its development goals by guiding principles conceived through the vision of : • the contemporary adaptation of traditional Qatari architecture and Culture • incorporate traditional architecture with modern construction methods and materials
• utilizing traditional building styles and practices • utilizing traditional architecture styles and elements • influences and interpretations of traditional architecture elements in the contemporary architectural • respect and inspiration from the local culture and traditional architecture

AL WAKRA HOTEL 1 The design in Hotel 1 is inspired by the AL WAKRA sand, sea and shells. Its patterns, colors and materials reflect the environment with contemporary adaptation of traditional Qatari architecture and culture. The color palette used is neutral, natural and runs along the scale from beach, sand to stone. The wooden beams ceilings and the wooden doors are traditional and totally preserved incorporating modern construction methods and materials. The decorative screens and the patterns are used to complete the traditional ambiance in the hotel.

AL WAKRA HOTEL 2 The Hotel 2 is inspired from the desert, the sand and the sun. In the fitness area, the design creates a feeling of freshness like being in the oasis after a long walk in the desert. Some materials are used to make a contemporary hotel from a heritage environment.
