Dearest Sunset Sessions ROCK! Attendee... Every single year - after several months of 14 hour work days, lots & lots of stress and anxiety, I swear I’m never going to do this again. If it’s going to be so hard, and cost so much, then what’s the point? I just want to help artists be heard – and help people connect with each other in a meaningful way. Then, without fail, every time I think I’m too tired to do it all again, I get an amazing email or call that brings me to tears (this one, I just had to share): “I want you to know that what you’ve done in the past several years has been life changing for me. Your desires, shared ambition, passion, caring and ability to include others in a trip to move music into another hemisphere has not gone unnoticed on me... Some of us can support in certain ways... you support in all ways. When we are all gone from here, your efforts will be noted. We are all required to do what is necessary. You have decided to do everything possible. There is a big difference.” by a Program Director. Holy cow – she wrote that email to ME? Just some chick who loves music? Then the icing on the cake is when, time after time, artists tell me Sunset Sessions changed their careers and changed THEIR lives (and we see it happen), programmers tell us they got to discover artists they now love – and music supervisors find that perfect song for a scene. People become lifelong friends because of the connections they made at one of these 20 Sunset Sessions. How can I ever stop? One person CAN make a difference. I learn every day how I can make a difference… YOU can make a difference by finding an artist you love and BREAKING THEM. That will change their entire LIFE! YOU can make a difference by being kind to someone who is really excited to meet you. YOU can make a difference (like Mother Teresa was quoted as saying) if you just “find one person in the world who thinks they are alone and convince them that they’re not.” We can ALL make a difference. That’s why we’re here. That’s why Sunset Sessions exists... to make a difference! And from the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU for being one of the passionate ones who still care enough to show up. YOU are the passionate ones. I hope you have an amazing weekend! Sunset Sessions Rock! #3, this ain’t no Catalina wine mixer here, it’s TIME TO ROCK!

In love & gratitude, Michele Clark

Michele Clark Founder & CEO Sunset Sessions & MCE

Matthew “Potter” WYBB Charleston, SC

Michele Clark: In 1990, Clark began her journey as an independent promotion person by creating Michele Clark Promotion which quickly became the top firm in the Triple A format. In 2006, Clark changed the name of her company to M:M Music and in 2007 began the transition of ownership to her top employee & dear friend. The company Michele created still remains the most successful force in the Triple A format today! In 1998, Clark produced the inaugural Sunset Sessions event. This highly respected music conclave is now in its 16th year of “Giving Artists a True Chance to Be Heard”. It encompasses bi-annual conventions, US Sunset Sessions tours, and alumni songwriters retreats. Michele and Sunset Sessions have been instrumental in the launches and campaigns of thousands of artists over the last 25 years. Apart from everything else, Michele has also managed several successful artists and is currently working on her book “The Hit Women.” She continues to consult radio stations, managers and artists in various ways, using her experience to help her clients thrive and succeed. Michele launched a Mind-body Spirit Wellness Retreat called Be You Retreats this year. She is married to her high school sweetheart Jack, is the mother of four and grandmother of three (and counting).

Potter: Born in Philadelphia but raised in Columbia, SC, Potter is a Southern Boy and a fan of the Eagles and Phillies. He went to USC (University of South Carolina) and did some college radio there with his best friend. It was an all music station, so their bits and skits didn’t last very long. But, it was fun till they kicked them off. Though they were big into doing funny stuff, it was his love for music that made him realize that he could be in radio somewhere down the road. Matthew graduated in Journalism and Advertising and moved to Charleston managing a restaurant and partying like he was still in college. It wasn’t but just a few days after WYBB turned to its current format (Active Rock) that he said “Yep, time for me to get back in. I dig the music, and I already know the buttons.” He drove up to the station and asked Mike Allen for a job. He lucked out, they had a no-show that day. He really thought he would end up on the sales side of things in radio, but he was WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better at producing, running his mouth on air, and doing the “upstairs” stuff than trying to get people to buy airtime. His evenings turned into an afternoon shift, then his behind the scenes stuff turned into music director, which then turned into Program Director and now Operations Manager of their AAA as well. And he is loving it! Potter doesn’t know what else he would be doing right now. If it wasn’t for radio he said he would probably be doing something with horses or old people (he’s just kidding, people always say that).

Yellow Marbles The “Laurel Canyon” scene of yore is experiencing a renaissance in one of it’s neighboring communities, namely Venice. One of the developing acts emerging from this scene is the Yellow Marbles. With their stunning four part harmonies and timeless songs, they very easily could have shared a bungalow with kindred spirits like Joni, Jackson, Don or Glenn. The genre bending band consists of Carrie Turner, Jessie Whitaker, Ciaran Makepeace, and Liam Makepeace. Although not together all that long, they’re in the process of completing their first full length album. They’ve been fortunate to have Ray LaMontagne’s band, the Pariah Dogs as well as the wonderful Sara Watkins play on the album as a true testament to the quality of the songwriting.

The Unlikely Candidates

Cameron Rafati Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Cameron Rafati first began playing Guitar and singing in Middle School playing talent shows and pizza parlors for fun. While at college at USC, though his artistic endeavors were placed behind his scholastic goals, Cameron still managed to start a band named Vertices that gained much campus attention. After graduating and spending some time in the corporate world, he decided to return to his first love, music. In 2011 he Independently released his solo self-titled full-length debut. Getting his initial tour experience playing residencies at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas, Cameron The Public recently has opened for acts such as Imagine Dragons, Fitz and the Tantrums, Goo Goo Dolls, Hanson, Sean Kingston, The Parlotones and Jason Derulo. Cameron also recently partnered with Chad Hugo of the Neptunes, Randy Jackson, and world famous boxer Manny Pacquiao to write and perform “Face Your Destiny.” Manny’s new walkout theme song. Cameron and his band are currently finishing their new album to be released in late summer of 2013.

Who would’ve thought small town boredom, adrenaline, and a lust for recklessness mixed together on the suburban streets of Fort Worth, Texas would end up producing raw, real, and infectious rock anthems? Although they didn’t know each-other yet, Cole Male and Kyle Morris were booked on separate accounts of grand theft auto and ended up in a Fort Worth juvenile dentetion center together. The two became fast friends, and as their brush with the law came to an end, they decided to focus their energies elsewhere... music. Back home in Texas, uniting with classmates Kevin Goddard (Drums), and Brenton Carney (Lead Guitar), The Unlikely Candidates were born. With an authentic sound and an ability to paint vivid pictures with their lyrics, The Unlikely Candidates transcend trends with a focus on the art of the song.

Semi Precious Weapons Forming in New York City, Semi Precious Weapons quickly developed a cult-like following with their songs, live performances, and visual style. SPW played sold out shows in the city, promoted warehouse parties, and became mainstays at Brooklyn events and New York Fashion Week alike. SPW were voted ‘Best Band in NYC’ in the Village Voice reader’s poll. Eventually the buzz the band created touring the country with the likes of Ladyhawke, Ida Maria and The Sounds garnered the attention of Interscope Records, who signed the band and released their first major label album in 2010. Lady Gaga then went on to invite her favorite band to join The Monster Ball World Tour as her opening act for a worldwide 18 month run. SPW’s profile grew in this period, leading to featured performances at Lollapalooza, The Isle of Wight festival, headlining the Colours of Ostrava festival, and opening for Ke$ha. The band had performed to nearly 2 million people, and their impact became obvious in the form of a truly die-hard fanbase across the world. After 3 years on the road, the band found themselves in Los Angeles collaborating on new music with legendary producer Tricky Stewart. SPW soon began writing and producing for other artists as well. In 2012, their innovation and determination captivated Tricky, who made the band one of his first signing to his own company, RedZone. Now 2013, Semi Precious Weapons is set to release new music, led by their first single, Aviation High.

Monster Truck The term Rock n’ Roll gets thrown around pretty haphazardly. One can go as far as stating it’s been bastardized to the point of being unrecognizable - and then comes Monster Truck. 2013 Juno Winners for Breakthrough Group of The Year, Monster Truck became a runaway sensation reaching Top 10 on Canadian Rock radio with THREE consecutive singles. Tours followed in 2012 when Monster Truck was handpicked to open for Slash on his North American tour - “Monster Truck is one of the few really great down to earth rock ‘n roll bands I’ve heard in the last couple of years. Hard, soulful & heavy.”–SLASH. Their debut full-length LP, aptly titled Furiosity, featuring first single “Sweet Mountain River” is out May 28 on Dine Alone Records via Caroline Distribution in the US.

DJ Skratch N SnifF Skratch N Sniff is a two hour long weekly syndicated radio mixshow heard in 60+ cities. Skratch N Sniff was conceived back in the day by Malcolm, who decided that regular old radio was getting too predictable. What was missing was a show that could take the 2 biggest segments of music on the radio - rock and hip-hop - and blend them together to make an unbelievable mixshow. So Malcolm picked up the phone and hollered at Mike Czech, and a plan was hatched: play killer songs that will pull listeners in, use Mike Czech’s original mixes, remixes, and blends to provide a 100% unique sound, and always be sure to keep it fresh. Skratch N Sniff premiered March 9, 2003 on the radio in San Diego and was immediately a hit! Mixing the FRESH and the HESH turned quite a few ears, and within a year Skratch N Sniff had picked up over a dozen affiliates. So whether you like rock in your hip-hop, or you like hip-hop in your rock, Skratch N Sniff always has the perfect mix!!

Alternative Rock, FERAL VINCA combines meaningful lyrics and powerful music to create a unique, yet consistent sound. Big B

Big B has been clawing his way throughout the music industry with a blue-collar mindset and an unorthodox style that bridges the gap between rock, hip-hop, and reggae vibe. Big B’s new album “Fool’s Gold” is scheduled for a July 9th release and features collaborations with pop icon Pink, Butch Walker, The Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, country superstar Colt Ford, and members of NOFX and Pennywise. Big B is enjoying new found success after his single “Sinner” featuring Scott Russo from Unwritten Law, exploded at Alternative Rock radio. Big B capitalized on the heightened awareness by touring with Pennywise, Pepper, House of Pain, the Vans Warped Tour, and performing at KROQ’s Weenie Roast music. In 2012 Big B capped off a banner year off by winning an Emmy Award for their work on a Madison Square Garden commercial, which featured his song “Good Times.” On his new record Big B spills his heart out on the album’s 13-tracks that make up “Fool’s Gold”. The album runs the lyrical gamut from Big B’s introspective musings, to some poignant social commentary. The lead single “Here Comes The Lightning” was produced by Pink and Butch Walker. Big B will be on tour all summer with the Dirty Heads and then Red Light King. We are excited to welcome Big B back for his second Sunset Sessions Rock! performance.

leogun LEOGUN - [Leo-gun] a three-piece band from London, surging with a mix of blues, soul and a whole lotta rock & roll! At times like an even-more-unhinged Led Zeppelin and at others, like a hotskillet of blues rock that evokes Elvis, Skynyrd, Queen or any base in between. LEOGUN’s debut album, By The Reins, is filled with bite-your-head-off choruses and a hunger to groove. LEOGUN mixes the musicality and heart bleeding emotion of The Raconteurs with all the sexual prowess and break-neck attitude of Queens of The Stone Age and Wolfmother. The album features the hit rock hit “Let’s Be Friends” and future singles; “Piggy In The Middle,” “Medicine” and the enigmatic “Another Lost Soul.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. The result of a couple friends recording some jams in a Detroit basement under a ridiculous moniker was never originally intended to reach the public and spread from coast to coast. But that’s exactly the unlikely, exciting predicament Josh Epstein and Daniel Zott of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. - the band, not the racecar driver - found themselves in a couple years ago. The internet is a beautiful place. Within a year of posting a self-produced EP on their website, DEJJ were performing in front of 10-15,000 people at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and ended up selling out headline dates across the country. The buzz led to a record deal with Warner Bros. Records, who released the band’s debut album, It’s A Corporate World, in June of 2011. The album was championed by such respected media outlets as Rolling Stone, Paste, Filter and Stereogum and DEJJ became one of the most blogged about bands of 2011 according to Hype Machine. The band capped off an impressive first album cycle with a triumphant performance of their single “Simple Girl” on Conan, complete with four piece orchestra. Look out for new music from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. coming soon.

Heavens Basement Heaven’s Basement have been making a name for themselves via their relentless touring and fiery live show plus music that features huge guitar riffs, killer melodies and an arena-rock sound. Originally formed in the East Midlands in England, Heaven’s Basement have toured the U.K. and Europe with the likes of Papa Roach, Theory Of A Deadman, Shinedown, Halestorm, Seether and more, and as well played last year’s Download Festival in the UK to a packed tent of more than 5,000 fans. Kerrang declared, “Heaven’s Basement play as if their lives depend on it. They should already be a big name - bristling riffs and jagged, riotous hooks are their poison and exceptional is not too strong a word.” Their UK single “I Am Electric” was recently added to BBC Radio 1, and their debut US single “Fire, Fire” is rapidly climbing the US Active Rock Chart. They are currently on tour in the US playing all the major rock festivals and supporting Buckcherry in-between. Heaven’s Basement is Aaron Buchanan (vocals), Sid Glover (guitar), Rob Ellershaw (bass), and Chris Rivers (drums).

Redlight King Alt/rockers Redlight King released their debut SOMETHING FOR THE PAIN back in 2011 and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. The album landed #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, #10 on iTunes Rock album chart while their song “Old Man” (featuring the first-ever sampling of the Neil Young song of the same name, personally approved by Neil) was the 13th most played song at Alternative Radio for 2011. Performances on Conan and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno followed and in 2012, Redlight King released the scorching rock anthem, “Bullet In My Hand,” which immediately shot up to the top of the rock radio charts, while their song “Comeback” was featured on Avengers Assemble the musical companion to the mega-hit film The Avengers. Frontman/songwriter, Kaz is first and foremost a storyteller. Drawing from his sometimes volatile past for SOMETHING FOR THE PAIN, Kaz’s songs hit a nerve that has resonated with the band’s hardcore fan base. The band is currently finishing up their sophomore release due out this year. The sound will be grittier, the guitars crunchier and the songs razor-sharp, full of angst and rebellion but always with a hint of redemption. Redlight King was the first band to ever play Sunset Sessions at our first event in 2011, we are thrilled to welcome him back for a second time.

Ed Hale and the Transcendence “Ed Hale and the Transcendence bring to mind the pomp and glitter sounds that may collide if you merged classic Love `n Rockets, Radiohead and Iggy Pop with David Bowie, T. Rex, World Party, The Thrills, Frank Zappa, even U2 and White Stripes. While that sounds all over the place, it works because this band has control of its self-made manifesto and the confidence and talent to pull off the disparate sounds cohesively.” –Bruce Brodeen, Not Lame Records/Pop Geek Heaven. Ed Hale and the Transcendence, best known today for their two latest Billboard Top 30 hits “Scene in San Francisco” and “New Orleans Dreams”, formed in 2002 and have released seven eclectic, genre-defying and critically acclaimed albums. Debuting in the CMJ Top 20 Most Added Chart six albums consecutively, the band has been a perennial favorite with critics and indie music lovers since their eccentric worldmusic meets modern-rock debut Rise and Shine through to this year’s glam-rock garagepop feast The Great Mistake.

oleander Oleander saw success bloom from their 1999 major label debut February Son. Featuring two Top 10 hits in “Why I’m Here” and “I Walk Alone,” the album would reach gold record status by the RIAA for selling 500K units. This momentum would project the band into the spotlights of arena tours featuring blockbuster names like Creed, Candlebox, Filter and Collective Soul, as well as land them a spot on the history stage of Woodstock ‘99. Oleander managed to make significant waves on the silver screen as well. The band landed clips in films like Spiderman, American Pie 1 & 2 and Scary Movie and also lent their voice to the long-awaited tribute album Stoned Immaculate: The Music of the Doors covering the song “Hello, I Love You.” On April 16, 2013, Something Beautiful will be accessible to Oleander’s steadfast fan base and available to win over new listeners.

Music Meeting Panel

In this staple “Music Meeting Panel” ...our moderators play part of a song and then all panelists & attendees in the room rate the song with research dials. Detailed rating results from everyone are displayed on the screen and we can see who’s in sync with who - radio programmers, music supervisors, TV bookers, record labels, artists and listeners! Discussions as to why who rated songs the way they did follow. Would they play it? Would they use it in a film or tv show? Would they book this artist to perform on TV? Come and find out! moderated by:

Tony Von Pervieux: Tony began his career in music management, working as an assistant for Aaron Walton Entertainment and then for Music Supervisor Dawn Soler. Tony is the Creative Director for ABC Studios, where he helps oversee all aspects of music for their shows. ABC Studios currently produces over eighteen shows for multiple Tony Von Pervieux broadcast and cable networks, including Creative Director ABC Entertainment Group Army Wives, Castle, Cougar Town, Criminal Minds, Nashville and many others.

Mike Karolyi WCCC Hartford, CT

Mike Karolyi: Over the years I have been lucky enough to interview just about every rock band in existance. I am also credited with being the first to discover and play “Outside” by Staind. The song went on to be their first hit and bridged the gap from their “Dysfunction” album and the multi-platinum “Break the Cycle” album. I have been early on Shinedown, Disturbed, Kid Rock, Sevendust and many others. My favorite success story to date is hearing Dead Sara at their Sunset Sessions soundcheck and knowing at that moment that I would give them a shot at radio as soon as I got home. WCCC’s airplay led the country as the band went on to tour with Bush, The Used, Offspring, Warped Tour, Muse and others.

Kepler Consulting: Allen Kepler will be gathering all of the data collected during the panel.

PORTER LORI

His style is one boot on the sidewalk, the other on a long dirt road. A bi-racial child of Black and French Croatian decent, he was born to a single (white ) mother who was a writer and activist and listened to Motown and a father ( black) who was a cowboy and politician. From dropping out of a violent high school to finding Hip Hop & Skateboarding in downtown Denver to the Hills Of Kentucky where the seeds of Country and Bluegrass were planted, Porter Lori blurs many lines... His deeply rich & majestic baritone voice stands tall like a mountain. One whose soil is rich with the sounds of steel string guitars, harmonica and Dobro that calls from another time. He carries inside him the heart of the country and the soul of the city. He wears the truth on his sleeve and his vulnerability like a badge.

interviewed by Whitebread

Whitebread: Whitebread learned the standards from his grandfather, vaudeville singer Jack Davis. At age 8, he wrote his own lyrics to Beatles songs. At 19, he worked at Associated Recording Studio in NY, where he met renowned lyricist Alan Bernstein, who later became his mentor. Whitebread was the lead singer of The Silly Geese, who were embraced by the LA street scene. Whitebread produced and wrote songs for legendary crooner Rudy Vallee. At the beginning of rap in LA, Whitebread recorded the club hit song Sweat. Whitebread has co-written songs with country artists 3 of a Kind. as well as co-written and co-produced two songs in Son of the Mask and Basmati Blues, which is currently in production. Whitebread

Kevin Lyman began his career booking bands for his university and as a roadie for then unknown acts such as the Untouchables, The Bangles and Bad Religion. After college, Lyman began working with Goldenvoice, as a promoter rep for seminal punk rock and metal bands such as The Germs, Circle Jerks, Anthrax and Jane’s Addiction, working in legendary LA clubs like The Whiskey, The Roxy, The Palladium and many long since forgotten. Kevin is best known as the producer and creator of the hugely successful Vans Warped Tour, the longest running traveling music and extreme sports festival in the world today. Now going into it’s 19th year, the tour reaches nearly 600,000 kids each summer. The “punk rock summer camp” has introduced audiences to artists such as No Doubt, Sublime, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Eminem, 3OH!3 and Fall Out Boy among hundreds of others. With the Vans Warped Tour, Lyman pioneered the successful integration of corporate sponsors with the extreme lifestyle, creating a blueprint for sponsorship integration widely duplicated in the marketplace today. In 2007, Lyman partnered with John Reese to present the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival (now going into it’s 6th year), a summer hard rock festival featuring 15 metal bands including acts such as Slipknot, Disturbed and Slayer. A success by all standards, Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival perhaps most notably integrated the camaraderie Lyman had created on The Vans Warped Tour into a metal festival. In addition, in 2010, with coproducer Sarah Baer, Kevin started The Country Throwdown Tour operated through the 4Fini office in Nashville. Country Throwdown has featured such well-known artists as Willie Nelson, Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson and Little Big Town. Kevin and 4 Fini, Inc. have also produced numerous other successful tour events including the Rockstar Energy Drink Taste of Chaos Tour, The Watcha Tour, Down From the Mountain Tour, Sprite Liquid Mix Tour and Great High Mountain Tour, as well as custom events for popular brands such as Jose Cuervo and SEGA Dreamcast. In addition to production, Kevin is part owner of Side One Dummy Record Company, which has an impressive yet diverse roster including Flogging Molly, punk icons Suicidal Tendencies, Bedouin Soundclash, Gogol Bordello and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. He has also acted as writer and executive producer on several films, including Endless Bummer (2008) and the Vans Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Documentary (2009). In 2012/13 Kevin and The Vans Warped Tour was featured in a reality TV show on the FUSE Network, called Warped Roadies. Kevin acts as a consultant on multiple corporate branding projects, helping companies maintain the valuable street level credibility that endears their products to the youth market. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, Kevin established the Unite The United Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization set up to encourage fans, artists and industry leaders from the music, touring and lifestyle worlds to come together through charitable contributions, events and volunteer efforts in order to work toward a positive change in our national community. Since its inception, Unite The United has raised over $1,000,000 for a variety of charitable efforts and grass roots organizations such as MusiCares, Skate For Cancer, Hollywood Heart and Keep-A-Breast. Also, on each of Lyman’s tours, a portion of every ticket sold goes to specified charities. 22

Beachwood Coyotes Beachwood Coyotes are a 4 piece Rock ‘N’ Roll band from Los Angeles that formed from the wreckage of another band that had toured the U.S. extensively with the likes of The Used, Alkaline Trio, Saves The Day, Set Your Goals, HIM, and many more. Started by guitarist/vocalist Jason Nott, the music of Beachwood Coyotes can best be described as a glorious melodic-noise. “I like loud noises” says Nott, “I like being excited when I watch a band but I’m also a huge fan of good pop songs. My love of The Pixies, The Clash, and The Beatles made me want to start this band.” “The songs I have written for Beachwood Coyotes are about everything that happened in my life over the last year, everything I learned about drugs, sex, relationships and the music/lifestyle I had been a part of. The Boxer Rebellion

May 2013 sees the release of indie-rock band The Boxer Rebellion’s ‘Promises’ - a hugely soaring and ambitious album - packed full of melody and hooks that truly delivers on the band’s widescreen, signature sound. “This band can alter your life,” said the UK’s NME Magazine. On the release of their sophomore album ‘Union’ they became the first wholly independent band to ever break the Billboard Top 100 albums chart on a digital-only release. That same album was crowned iTunes’ Alternative Album of the Year, and was followed by a significant feature film appearance alongside Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Charlie Day, Christina Applegate, and Jason Sudeikis in the film ‘Going the Distance’. Known as much for their recordings as their fearsome live reputation, we expect 2013 will be The Boxer Rebellion’s breakthrough year.

Dig The Kid Dig the Kid is a Bay Area based Alternative Pop-rock band. Singer, songwriter and guitarist Cory Todd, drummer and songwriter Lisa Mongelli and bassist Ian Lasater make up this 3-piece assemble. They set out to create a musical format that would be treated like a blank canvas allowing their catalog of music to sound more like a play list rather than any particular genre. The result of this effort aims to attract as many listener demographics as possible. Their live shows are equally as important as the songs Dig the Kid performs. Dig the Kid plans to make their performance feel like an out of town band at every show. Every show will be a unique experience from dancing to crowd interaction to surprises and special guest performers. Dig the Kid’s goal is to not play too many shows so they don’t over saturate any one location. In doing so this will encourage the largest amount of viewers new and old. Dig the Kid revels in the effortlessness of music in it’s purest form and reminds their listeners how fun it is to play without boundaries.

Sunset Sessions ROCK! * June 6-8, 2013

THANK YOU! This is the 20th Sunset Sessions event in 16 years. When I look at how it’s evolved since 1998… I am so grateful to so many people for their input, passion, suggestions, time, energy and love – because ALL of it collectively has made Sunset Sessions what it is today. They say “it takes a village” – well in our case, I think it took an entire state. On this 20th event – I want to acknowledge some very special contributions that come to mind (and there are soooo many more so please forgive me if I didn’t remember yours when I wrote this) Jack (my husband) for coming to them all (even when he didn’t want to) and playing devil’s advocate like a pro Madeleine Chattah Davis (then my VP and BFF) who first decided we should figure out how to take the Triple A format on vacation with us, then figured out how to actually do it! And so St. Thomas (March 1998) it was!

Scotty Ross for always trying to connect us to everyone!

All of the press that found what we’re doing worthy enough to share.

Danny Goldberg for flying in to moderate our Moguls panel always!

The Recording Academy for caring about new artists enough to care about Sunset Sessions (and for giving so many of our alumni awards!)
