PROGRAM ITINERARY
SAI programs offers faculty unique opportunities to design custom academic programs that meet their learning objectives with academic rigor and cultural relevance in a wide variety of locations in Italy, as well as Barcelona, London, and Paris. Faculty who have chosen to develop a study abroad program with SAI comment on the high level of professional support, agility in meeting special requests, capacity to respond to emergencies, personal attention to details and a collaborative approach through the program planning and delivery phases. Collaboration on faculty-led programs is one of many benefits that SAI offers to our affiliate universities. We work closely with faculty and study abroad offices to ensure high standards of service that lead to successful overseas programs. SAI staff assist faculty in creating learning experiences that increase awareness, enhance comprehension, have a practical application of knowledge, and employ analytical thinking strategies to synthesize the learning experiences. Our aim is to provide our SAI affiliate schools with safe, academically rigorous and culturally enriching international experiences for their students. Faculty led programs are arranged at the undergraduate and graduate levels for full semesters, January terms, spring breaks, and summer; from 10 days to 15 weeks of study. Examples of past program titles include: • Business Semester Abroad • Global Accounting and Economics

REFERENCES UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI (OLE MISS) Laurel Lambert Associate Professor of Nutrition & Hospitality Management “Having the program in Florence was wonderful. At this point I wouldn’t consider having it anywhere else.... Danielle did an exceptional job and I look forward to working with her and SAI next year.”
TENNESSEE TECH UNIVERSITY Lizabeth Mullins Interim Dean, College of Agriculture and Human Ecology “The entire experience was excellent! I will definitely work with SAI in the future and encourage others to do so as well. Danielle Moscou was terrific though all phases of the study tour. Our guides and tour leaders were marvelous, particularly Florinda, Claudia, and Tatiana. They anticipated our needs, were flexible yet kept us on schedule, were very well-informed and personable. Please keep them in your pool of excellent support people. Thank you for a marvelous experience in every respect!”
PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN, THE NEW SCHOOL James Mendolia Interim Director, Fashion Marketing “Thanks for all of your efforts - the trip has been great and last night the students were all incredibly happy, so all worth the tiny student dramas. The logistics for the trip were perfect. As usual, the bus companies were great - all the drivers, Tiziano and the others were very friendly and professional. Please thank them for me. The Hotels were great - this year students left passports, necklaces, wallets and credit cards in hotels and all were sent to them in the following city very quickly. Sunglasses were also found on buses and returned - needless to say the students were very thankful. Well-done and all greatly appreciated. I look forward to working with Ben in the fall to get things ready for next year. Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer and stay well.”
JOHNSON AND WALES UNIVERSITY Elizabeth Allsworth Director of Study Abroad “Working with SAI to plan a new program was smooth and organized. SAI was very open to new ideas as we merged the needs of our two institutions. I appreciated their flexibility with itinerary development, contract wording as well as student Participation Agreements...The materials provided by SAI were comprehensive and professional.”
Nick LaManna Assistant Dean, School of Technology “Program development and planning was handled extremely well through the efforts of Ben Strevens... Two of the classes in Florence were taught by Italian professors. The instruction of graphic design and art history really provided the students with valuable information and perspective from a local professor that would not have been achieved if taught by one of our faculty.”
