Boro Bees

Founded by Mark Harris and Sharon Alfrey in August 2023, Boro Bees is a new project on Blackstone Edge.

Mark who owns AAA Pest Control in Littleborough has safely relocated many bee nests over the years but has always held the dream of becoming a beekeeper and developing a bee garden for all to enjoy.

Mark commented:

"The end goal of project is for the community of Littleborough to benefit by coming to visit and learn about Honey bees. We will look to hold open days with beekeepers and environmental experts. We also plan to sell the honey our bees produce that is surplus to their requirements and donate any profit to local charities.

"There is a lot of work still to do to transform the land and we welcome any volunteers to come and get involved".
