Plant a tree for Queen and climate

with ERMC

In August 2020, at a time when business was not quite as usual, ERMC took a leap to start a new business offer, one that would complete the circularity of their commitment to knowledge and delivery of sustainable, construction professional services.

Having secured grant funding from the IW Rural Fund, they embarked upon creating a Rangers team, kitting them out, and undertaking specialist training, with the goal of delivering ecological land management and enhancement.

With biodiversity improvement and rewilding at the core of the service, the now four-strong team can be found across the Island and the south coast, maintaining and enhancing the shared spaces on managed estates and providing contract services with an ecological and contemporary approach. When the Queen announced the ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’ campaign, an idea was sparked that is now taking root, and the Rangers set up a bespoke tree planting service in support of the cause. ‘Plant with Us’ helps local landowners, businesses and individuals to source and plant a collection of trees (UK grown from UK seed) and take the guesswork out of what to buy, where to plant and how to plant, so the trees – which have been specially selected for their carbon absorbing qualities – make an instant impact and thrive. The trees are available with plaques to commemorate the occasion and can also be tagged on a map on HRH’s very own website. Tree planting season is now upon us and ends in March, so if you have some space that could do with a leafy facelift – support the campaign and do your bit towards carbon capture at the same time.
