What I love the most about the beauty industry and my career as a stylist is helping people feel good about themselves. Looking back to 2014 and my first classes, at Marinello School of Beauty, I now realize that I knew nothing about professional hair coloring, cutting or styling. Of course the artist in me has always experimented with hair color on my own, but I did not know the proper techniques that I was taught in school…”the correct way” of doing these things. Working in the salon, for over a year now, has given me the opportunity to grow not only as a stylist but as a business professional. There is always something new and exciting happening in the beauty industry and I’m continually challenged to perfect my craft. At beauty school I did not learn how to braid hair. I actually learned how to braid from a client and friend, Betsy, while she was in my chair, waiting for her color to process, at Visible Changes! The point is...never stop learning! Beauty is “my art” and “my passion.” I’ve found nothing more satisfying than making the “looks” that my clients envision come to life, an accomplishment of which I never grow tired. Working all day, to me, isn’t work at all. I'm so glad to have found a career that I Absolutely Love!
