Corn is a fast-growing crop. After harvesting the primary crop, maize, leaves and stems remain as a residual product. Historically, this waste product would have been incinerated. With new production methods, this waste is now used as a raw material for sustainable and environmentally friendly products. The starch from the fast-growing maize plant serves as the basis for bio-plastic, also known as PLA. It is 100% biodegradable, 100% industrially compostable and CO2 neutral. With products that basically consist of corn, you are investing in a strong eco-gift.
