TERM TWO PLANS

SUBU President Chloe Schendel Wilson explains what your Elected Officers are up to next term...

H

i everyone, welcome back and hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year! Last term, we worked really hard to improve your time at BU, and this is just a quick update on what we’ve got planned for the year ahead! I’m going to be working with BU in helping them refine how they do the Arrivals Period, and how they ensure that they continue to give support to first year students. I will also be working with SportBU to work out ways in which we can ensure that those of you who play sports can have Wednesday afternoons free. Reece will be looking at doing a consultation on the U2 bus service to ensure that you can have your input on how it can best be run, so that the service can be improved. He will also be looking at increasing the awareness of tenant’s rights, so that those of you with dodgy landlords know what to do!

Ellie will be working to launch a new team of Go Out and Talk (GOAT) students, who will spend time each week find out what issues it is that students are having and how BU can improve. There will also be another Speak Week in March which she will be organising! BU are now looking to develop the Lansdowne campus and Peter will be asking those of you that are studying there what you would like to see down there in the future and what needs improving! To keep up to date with the Full-Time Officers next term you can follow them on Twitter. Chloe’s on @SUBUPresident, Ellie is @SUBUEducation, Reece is @SUBUWelfare and Peter is @SUBUlansdowne. You can also check out facebook.com/ SUBUBournemouth for our TV News team’s weekly what’s on videos.
