“Music calms me down, lifts me up and always makes me feel a certain way. Explains things when words fail; Music speaks. Music means something that’s inspiring and can match your moods Music helps me connect to life. The music matches our mood, or it can help us change it too— it’s as we wish, since we choose its purpose. Music’s ability to change our mood into the direction we want, to understand and comfort us, to soothe or stimulate us in whatever way we need— is powerful and life-enhanc ing.It is scientifically proven that music enhances brain function, our brains are most active as we listen to music. Some people con sider music as a way to escape from the pain of life, bringing relief from all forms of stress. At the age of four, I started playing the piano at home. I listened to sev eral worldwide operating radio stations. I was hon ored to be invited to Radio Moskow during the early 1980s. My record library, which contains about more than 20,000 different pieces, accompanied me with my book library to the Philip pines. I enjoy them up to thisWhilemoment.every country has its own ways of com municating, there’s only one language we can all understand: the language of music. We don’t even need words to understand what music is saying. Every year people from diverse backgrounds come together for live performances and festivals. When the music is being played, it seems ev ery one understands what’s coming out of the speakers as they move in unison. In a time of deep divisions music stands to be the magnetism that is able to draw human ity Duringtogether.the last years, I was able to share my passion for music during innumer able radio shows hosted in the Philippines. My listeners love to tune in and leave a lot of comments and music wishes. It made me really so happy.Music is all around us intersecting our lives, regulating our moods and bringing good vibes to those who are listening. It raises your mood, bringing ex citement, or calming you down. It allows us to feel all the emotions that we experience in our lives. It has the profound ability to help those who struggle to express how they feel too. Musicians provide a pow erful therapy that helps the listener make sense of the world we are living in. People have always found music significant in their lives, whether for enjoy is music important in my life?

“From time to time, there appear on the face of the earth, men and women of consummate excellence who dazzle us by their virtue, and whose outstanding qualities shed a stupendous light. Like those extra-ordinary stars whose origins we are ignorant and whose fate, once they have vanished we know even less, such men and women have neither forebears nor descendants, they are the whole of their race.” At a time when the earth is facing planetary destruction and humanity is facing annihilation due to climate change and threats of nuclear war, not to men tion gross inequities under the regime of one percent perpetuated by corporate globalization, it is so amaz ing to know of the rising of spiritual consciousness that is rooted in transcendental dimension. For millennium of years, humanity has been buried in the mundane as mankind has been suffering from collective insanity but the dawning of a new day is being trail-blazed by an awakened few looming like a light amidst the darkness, as the awakening process has now begun. One of these “lights” whom I met recently goes by the name of Genevieve De Dios Hus sain who has proved equal to her name of being “De Dios” orBegodly.itinher speech, printed on her t-shirt or the products that she is personally manufacturing like the healing oil that is amazingly curing the sick and even those afflicted by the pandemic, the biblical lines on John 15: 12-13 are glaringly declared: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this – to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” For her, such biblical lines are not just rhetorical but are emanating from her heart and inner self. Indeed, she has dived deep within into herself that connect her to the Universal Intelligence, to the Unseen Eternal Being deep within and feel that oneness especially with the poor and with Gaia (Mother Earth). That transcendental dimension has connected her to a Universal Intelli gence that seems to whisper or provide her the amazing wisdom every time she prays for guidance.Afterhearing the cry of the poor, the oppressed and the downtrodden and feeling so much love for them and for Mother Earth, she has put in clear cat egorical term the essence of the biblical mandate to love and another as God loves us. Indeed, if faith can move mountain as bibli cally declared that “if we have faith even as small as a mustard seed and if you tell the mountain to move from here to there, it will move.” But love is stronger than faith and even creates amazing transformation as a liberatingGenevieveforce.isavery suc cessful business entrepre neur whose business op erations are not only done locally but internationally. But for her, such blessings must be used not for her self-aggrandizement but to be of service to oth ers specially the poor and the downtrodden. Thus, during the pandemic, her mother was afflicted by COVID-19 and she fer vently prayed for guidance to cure her. Miraculously, she got some ideas from that transcendental dimension and reinforced by amazing ancient wisdom from the Indigenous Peoples on how to use herbs plus nutritious vegetables that when mixed will produce healing oil.

The COVID 19 pandem ic has resulted in some changes in basic educa tion delivery in Philippine public schools. Textbooks, which were previously the primary learning resources, are now supplemented with Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) and teacher-created Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) to ensure that educa tion continues despite the pandemic.SLMsare now primarily used as learning materi als for learners who, as a result of the pandemic, have drastically shifted their learning modality to modular print distance learning. They learn les sons from the Department of Education’s Most Essen tial Learning Competen cies (MELCs) using SLMs. However, there were some disadvantages to using SLMs. It was revealed that some examples in the SLMs were not contextualized, adding to the students’ difficulties.Teachers resort to the creation of LAS to address the issue. The LAS is a selfdirected instructional ma terial designed to provide learners with meaningful and engaging activities that allow them to learn at their own pace while utilizing improvecommunitycontextualizedresources.TheuseofLASaimstotheacquisitionof

The experiences in the conduct of a technical assistance are great and inspiring. The essence of becoming it inspiring because the time is well spent, the planning is well implemented, the assis tance is well prepared and the rating is well given based on its standard. It is becoming great because some features posted in the measure of assistance were evident especially in the improvement of the programs and projects. Thus, the experience in the technical dimension is also distinct and so re warding.Today, as the depart ment is on the stages of implementing face-to-face classes, there are prepara tions to realize goals. One of which is the planning for technical assistance where it is basically anchored on the measure and standard for assistance and assess ment set by the department to anchor upon. As such, this will be another call of duties to better facilitate the process. The targets are set for the clients’ welfare and for the improvement of programs. In setting technical assistance for our clients in school, the process needs time. There are foreshadowing feelings in its process, preparation and so its implementation. This is an avenue to know strengths and weaknesses and opportunity to im prove the TA standards if it gives merit and credit to the programs and projects. The conduct of Tech nical Assistance is a meaningful and beauti ful process that requires standards.

no diseases did triumph. Such miraculous discovery of the power of healing oil became a trail-blazing move to produce more especially upon the requests of those who have known of the miraculous effect on healing even those afflicted with cancer. The distribution in fact went as far as the United Arab Emirates through her children who are resid ing there. During the recent wedding of her sister in Manila, Genevieve brough hundred of bottles, to the rejoice of those who attending the wedding. All told, thousands of bottles have been distributed, for free at that. What is so amazing is the unfolding of the truism that unfettering oneself from unbridled materialism and consumerism, thus debunking the mundane to go to the Sublime, is creating a transcen dental transformation in a world that is giving so much veneration to the profit motive. Indeed, love is the supreme force in the universal tht can command all obedience and even to heal all the ailments including that of Mother earth. In our sorties around Bukidnon, she brought many bottles of herbal oil for distribution to the poor Indigenous Peoples, all for free. Wow, so amazing. Yes, the Indigenous Peoples were correct in choosing not to be vaccinated. The power of the herbal oil healing them has proven them right. The statement of Sultan Abdul Amoran, former commander of the MILF Special Command Force who is half-Maranao half-Higaonon was even so informative upon receiving the herbal oil, he said, “Thank you for reviving the medicinal and health culture of the Indigenous Peoples as the IPs were actually advanced. In fact, my grandparents had lived for more than 100 years as no sickness or disease can triumph over them because of healing oil like this.” That somehow speaks well of the so-called modern medicinal practice in contemporaneous society which is so profit-oriented based on capi talist greed that had replaced and put in the dustbin of history our Indigenous culture and practices including high spirituality. That neo-liberal economic paradigm has even stolen from us our indigenous healthy and organic rice seeds, i.e., Tunawon, Denorado, Azucena which have been replaced by so called highyielding varieties (HIVs) that cannot be grown without the continuing usage of toxic chemicals that have already poisoned our watersheds and killed the ecosystems. But the amazing Genevieve’s role to cure the sick is not just confined to the poor and oppressed Indigenous Peoples. For her, one ness with all of God’s creation is the highest form of worship. She has heard the cry not only of the poor but of Mother Nature. Love is not just confined to human beings as “loving one another” includes all the flora and fauna especially those who are crying for help as they are becoming extinct. Indeed, she is correct. Hundreds of species are becoming extinct daily, being erased from the face of the earth as the homo sapiens (the most flawed of all of God’s species) have caused their demised, having been sacrificed to the altar of greed and profit. Genevieve has committed to supply the Indigenous Peoples with seedlings of the finest trees, i.e., mahogany and radiating flowers including root crops and vegetables. Such assistance has really come of age as thousands of hectares in the hinterlands of Mindanao has become denuded, having been the subject of massive illegal logging by six logging companies in the past. She was so troubled upon seeing the vast tracks of denuded lands in Mt. Kitanglad and Mt. Kalatungan Ranges which were once-upon-atime forested. She was troubled to know that the massive flooding of the Cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, originated from the denuded vast tracks of lands (about 200 thousand hectares). As studied by environmentalists, one-inch of rainfall in these denuded areas means one-meter high flood upon reaching the 200-hectare city of Cagayan de Oro. Ten inches means 10 meters – that ‘s how tragic Sendong was when 3,000 died mostly children. Where were the loggers? The were well ensconced in their mansions. The victims were the poor people residing in the vulnerable areas. Oh my God, pobre sila pero mga anak din po sila ng Diyos. It is in that context that she is now helping the Indigenous Peoples to make their ancestral domain productive and she is in fact converting some areas into demonstration farms on sustainable agriculture through integrated farm ing models. She knew how poor the farmers are, being buried all these years to conventional agriculture where everyone is profiting from farming except those who are doing back breaking job of farming – the farmers themselves.Thatoneness exemplified by Genevieve with all of God’s cre ation especially with Mother Earth should now reverberate throughout the land Being one with the trees, with the birds, with the fish and with the flowers is indeed true love. Indeed, we must love one another as God loves us. When that happens, the homo sapiens will be transformed into espiritus luminous or enlightened spirits which will be a great leap forward in humanity’s evolutionary growth. Thank you so much Genevieve for being that “kahayag” amidst the darkness of the troubled times.
