Protecting Lives, Saving the Future, Leaving Footprints

Protecting the children is not solely the responsibility of the parents but also of the entire community. The school is one of the communities the children interact with. Their formative years are spent in school as their second home where teachers are the second parents. As second home and second parents, we in the education field play a great role in safeguarding their well-being against any harm that may come to them.

The Child Protection Committee at Misamis Occidental National High School, comprised of the principal, guidance counselors, teacher representatives, PTA President, student representative, and barangay leaders, developed localized policies and guidelines based on DepEd Orders for Child Protection and Anti-Bullying. These guidelines include interventions and a step-by-step process for dealing with various cases.

Below are the few testimonies and personal stories about the Child Protection Unit localized initiatives and their impact.
