RTWPB Caraga conducts SQIP to Pumpboat Operators & Resort Workers of Britannia, Surigao del Sur
SAN AGUSTIN, SDS – The Regional Tripartite Wages & Productivity Board – Caraga in partnership with LGU San Agustin, Surigao del Sur conducts Service Quality Improvement Program to Pumpboat Operators, Dongers, and Resort Workers of Britannia, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur on May 16-17, 2023 at La Entrada Resort & Restaurant as part of the Convergence Project for the Development of Eco-tourism spearheaded by DOLE Caraga.
Brgy. Britannia, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur was selected as the pilot area for the Service Quality Improvement Program.

The training activity aims to improve the welfare of the beneficiaries in the ecotourism sector of San Agustin by providing alternative livelihood for pump boat operators during the lean season & develop the eco-tourism to attract more tourists to the localities.

Sixty (60) Pumpboat Operators and Dongers under Britannia Pumpboat Operators Association (BPA) and thirty-seven (37) Resort Workers from 22 different Resorts participated in the back to back training.
Hon. Nicolas Alameda, Municipal Mayor of San Agustin, SDS expressed his gratitude to DOLE Caraga and RTWPB Caraga for selecting Britannia as the pilot area for the abovementioned program. He said that through this program, pump boat operators and other tourismrelated workers as well as the locality will directly benefit from the program.
Atty. Joffrey Suyao, Regional Director of DOLE Caraga explained to the participants the objectives of the program. He said that the beneficiaries will be pro - vided with alternative livelihood projects during the lean season and develop the area to attract more tourists by providing Quality Service to them. “We will capacitate them by providing several interventions through training to the beneficiaries. This SQIP initiated by RTWPB Caraga is one of the several training interventions to be given by different partner agencies involved in the program”.
RB13 Trainers led by Mr. Earl D. Dela Victoria, Board Secretary VI, Cornelius B. Mahinay, SVLEO, Sara Mae C. Dahuyla, ITO I, and Napoleon P. Tavera Jr. Admin Aide III.
Topics discussed were the following: (1) basic concepts and principles of productivity;
(2) basic concepts and characteristics of service;
(3) standards and principles in crafting a service quality promise; and,
(4) Identification of the skills in providing “SERVICE QUALITY”.
ORDER
Before this Court verified joint petition for the approval and registration of the Divorce filed by petitioners and alledging among others. That petitioners are husband and wife respectively in a marriage performed under Civil rite on January 8, 2011 at Danao City, Cebu, both petitioners had been converted to Muslim and thereby embraced Islam Religion as their new found faith, by virtue of their respective intellectual choices which were duly registered with this Court, both of them can be served summons and other legal processes relative to this case at their resident at Carmen, Cebu, respectively; That said marriage did not last long due to lack of love and affection until the relationship manifested incompatibility and sustained misunderstanding between petitioners and reached the point of irreconcilability and they separated for each other for some reason of which both petitioner finally decided to legally break or severe their marriage bond for more than ten (10) years, they decided to separate live physically in bed and board, thereby, executed Memorandum of Agreement in order to formalize their separation. Since their separation, they had never been communicating or supporting either financially or emotionally to each other, neither minding each other affair’s; petitioner seek judicial decree of divorce, thereby, severing their marriage bond on January 8, 2011 so that they will have free hand to do what a single man or woman could do without marital burdens. Reconciliation between them had already been diligently employed but all proved futile.
WHEREFORE, finding this petition to be sufficient in form and substance, set the initial hearing of this case on June 23, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at which time, date and place. Any interested party may appear and show why the petition should not be granted. Let copy of this Order be published in newspaper of General Circulation in the City of Iligan once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks at the expense of the petitioners. SO ORDERED. During the discussions, Mr. Earl D. Dela Victoria stressed the importance of Service Quality. “You’re blessed because you have this marvelous nature attraction. All you have to do is to upgrade and improve the quality of the service to attract more tourists to visit this place. Do not be complacent, but rather continue to improve, to achieve an error-free service”.
One of the operators expressed his overwhelming gratitude to the government especially to DOLE Caraga and RTWPB Caraga “for the first time, I feel that we are given much importance by the government. Thank you very much, this project will we helpful to all of us here” he said.
