LINK UP SECURITY, founded in Vryheid in 1987 by Chris Taylor, was an eventuality born out of Chris’ interest in electronic alarm systems and the safety of his family and fellow farmers in an ever-increasing criminal landscape. His sons, Simon and Andrew, now directors of the company, have since moved to Ballito and have rooted the company in the area to extend their service along the Dolphin Coast, opening the company’s fifth branch in March 2019.

Link Up Security is a key member of the South African Intruder Detection Services Association (SAIDSA) and supplies, installs, and monitors everything, including residential and commercial alarm systems, integrated cameras, and home automation, as well as providing a well-equipped armed reaction service. Described as a ‘watchdog’ for the surveillance and alarm industry by SAIDSA, Link Up is constantly searching for ways to improve service delivery of electronic security in their areas of operation.
