Deck the halls... Metallic hallway Fancy a change from traditional festive shades of red and green? Silver and white are a gorgeous combination for a magical Christmas scheme.
We love the shimmering white winter wonderland scheme with its metallic wallpaper, sparkly silver accessories and snow-dusted tree
Just a few simple additions to your hallway scheme will make the world of difference to your hallway at Christmas. De-clutter surfaces by tidying away all the built-up bits and bobs into baskets and place battery-operated tea lights on your console table.

GP & J Baker In 2014 GP & J Baker celebrate it’s 130th anniversary of producing furnishing fabrics - a proud and illustrious heritage full of innovation and drama. George Baker sent two of his sons George Percival and James to England and in 1884 they set up the company GP & J Baker and purchased the long-established printing firm of Swaisland Fabric Printing Company. The sale included most of the printing blocks, and the archive of pattern books dating back to the eighteenth century. In 1893, GP & J Baker began to print its own patterns, employing the leading Arts & Crafts designers: Voysey, Butterfield, Napper, Haite and Mawson and WJ Thomas developed designs in-house. The most popular designs printed by GP & J Baker in the early 1900s showed naturalistically drawn English garden flowers, and this became part of the enduring Baker style. Their new fabric And wallpaper Larkhill collection is true to its routes and delivers stunning prints and embroideries.
Meet the Team.... Miggy has been working for us for 6 years. She is often spotted in the showroom helping customers with their fabrics needs. She is also responsible for choosing and purchasing the lovely fabrics we have available to buy. As well as all this she also contributes to making the beautiful window displays. In her spare time Miggy is also a designer; making large twig wall hangings and small silk pictures. Her favourite hobby is doing up old chairs! She also loves spending time with her very active, young family.

If you’ve started to feel the winter chill how about snuggling up in a cosy chaletstyle country room. Traditional checks and stripes with a red colour palette, using layers of fabric, rugs and textures will create a warm atmosphere to beat the winter blues! Why not add a personal touch to the season by making something handmade? You don’t necessarily need to be able to sew well - often a simple running stitch and handling a glue gun are all the skills you require to create unique decorations in your homes at Christmas. Have a look at our Pinterest page for inspiration...
