Colourful collections....

‘’Agatha’ design by

We have many collections in our showroom that are reflecting our thoughts of colour this month. Harlequin’s new children’s collection ‘All About Me’ has plenty of bright colours to inject some life into their rooms. But you don’t have to be a child for this selection just a little young at heart! They also have a fantastic stripes and checks book which will provide you with plenty of inspiration too. Clarke and Clarke have a pretty collection called ‘Rosetta’. A gorgeous book full of printed ditsy florals, stripes and animals guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face!

Aaaaaa

This month we are delighted to introduce our newest member of the Sue Foster team . Aimee has just completed a First Class BA Hons degree in Interior Design and Decoration . She has a particular interest in Photo stying for publications. . When she is not creating fabulous room schemes Aimee likes to read, watch horror movies and bake cakes (which we have obviously sampled already!) . She is looking forward to working with you all soon!

I want to add some colour to my room, but I don’t know where to start! Many people shy away from experimenting with using colour in their homes, but there are so many new collections out now with an inspirational spectrum, that we think it’s time to unleash the rainbow!

Starting with a favourite colour and then using a complementary shade is a good place to begin and a great way to create a harmonious feel. If you want to create more ‘zing’, choose a colour on the other side of the wheel, which will create a fresh contrast: for example, blue and orange. When choosing colours for your room, be sure to look at them in different lighting conditions because this will effect how you see them.

Further design inspiration can be found on our Facebook and Pinterest pages....

Be bold and experiment by creating your own mood boards; they are inexpensive and an easy place to start. Most of all enjoy and have fun!
