ENROLMENT 2021 FOR YEAR 12 STUDENTS
Enrolment 2021
The Enrolment Process We are delighted that you will be joining us at Abbeygate in September. Enrolment is where we sign you up for your chosen course and is the next stage in your academic journey. Once you have received your GCSE exam results from your school, please log into your online admissions portal and follow the steps listed in this booklet to upload a copy of your results. If your school has informed you that you will receive your results after the 12th August, it is vital that you let us know. Failure to do this will result in us being unable to secure your place for September. This booklet contains a How To Guide, which will show you how to upload your results to the portal. As part of the process you will need to identify which category you belong to from the following: • Qualified for my course with no course changes • Qualified for my course with course change(s) • Not qualified for my course and require course guidance As part of the enrolment process you will need to upload a photo for your ID card. You will collect your printed card at Induction on 2nd or 3rd September. More information on Induction will follow after enrolment has taken place.
When will I know if I have my place? If you have achieved the results you need for your course you will be able to login and secure your place by 5pm on 12th August. If you would like to change one or more of your courses we will review your request. If your request is possible we will add your new subject to your timetable and we will confirm this via your portal account. If the change is not possible, we will update your status on the portal to confirm we have reverted your programme back to your original choices. If you have not achieved the results you were expecting we will send you a link to book an appointment to come in and see us to discuss your options. Please be aware that enrolment can be very busy. Therefore, we ask for your patience as we endeavour to get you enrolled onto your course as soon as we can.
You only need log on once to enrol Regardless of your subject combination, your enrolment for your courses will all be done with one results submission.

When studying at Abbeygate, we provide you with all the necessary equipment needed for your course. We have lots of students who bring their own laptops and other devices to college. This is particularly crucial this year due to the Covid 19 situation and the associated restrictions with handling items in accordance with health and safety regulations. You can find information on our website about how to connect your device to our network meaning you can work on your documents at home or at college.
In order to complete all the steps of your enrolment with us you will need to read and agree to our policies on Student Code of Conduct, ICT User Agreement and the other relevant documents.
What if I don’t get the Results I’m Expecting? If you find you haven’t got the results you were expecting, please still upload your results by 12th August. We will have a team of highly trained staff to help talk through your options and where possible sign you up for an alternative course.
Once enrolled, you will be sent an online induction booklet that contains important information on the following: information aFinance aEducational visit consent information
