L4 ART ENROLMENT 2021 FOR YEAR 14 STUDENTS

The Enrolment Process We are delighted that you will be joining us at One in September. Enrolment is where we sign you up for Level 4 Art, the next stage in your academic journey. Once you have received your exam results from your school, please log into your online admissions portal and follow the steps listed in this booklet to upload a copy of your results. We have extended the date of enrolment to 5pm on 17th August as we are aware that some students will not receive their results from their schools electronically on 10th August. We do however ask that as soon as you receive your results you upload them to your portal so we are able to start processing your enrolment paperwork and secure your place. If your school has informed you that you will receive your results after the 17th August, it is vital that you let us know. Failure to do this will result in us being unable to secure your place for September.

This booklet contains a How To Guide, which will show you how to upload your results to the portal. As part of the process you will need to identify which category you belong to from the following: • Qualified for my course with no course changes • Qualified for my course with course change(s) • Not qualified for my course and require course guidance From 24th August, we will be inviting you by appointment to One to have your ID card photo taken. Collection of these will be arranged via appointment from 1st September. More information will follow after enrolment has taken place.

How to Enrol From the 10th August you will be able to log into you admissions portal and upload your Level 3 and GCSE results to your account.

When you log into your account the time to enrol box will appear and you need to select the green Enrol button. Should you, for any reason, need to log out and in again you can launch the enrolment wizard by using the green button that is shown below.

Once you have launched the enrolment wizard you will need to identify which category you belong to from the following options: • Fast Track - Qualified for my course with no course changes • Course Change Request - Qualified for my course with course change(s) • Unqualified - Not qualified for my course and require course guidance.

Fast Track If you have selected Fast Track, you will need to: Step 1 - Upload a copy of your Level 3 and GCSE results to the portal, in the area shown on the picture below.

Step 2 - type in your Maths and English results and click continue.

Step 3 - read and agree to our Code of Conduct and ICT Agreement.

Step 4 - click submit. Your results will be sent to the enrolment team to verify and process.

Once your status is updated to admitted, you will be able to access your timetable and IT account information from 1st September.

Course Change Request For a course change request, you will follow steps 1-4 as above. Between steps 1 and 3 you will be asked to select the course(s) you wish to change.

You will also be asked to give some information on the reasons for your course change.

Once submitted it will be reviewed by the admissions team. The review process can take up to 3 working days. If a course change is possible you will see the course added to your timetable. If it is not possible, we will be in touch with you by 18th August to discuss your options.

Unqualified If you have not achieved the results you require for your offered programme, we would still advise you to upload your results to your admissions account for the admissions team to review. If we are able to offer you an alternative programme we will be in touch to talk through the programme offer. To upload your results you need to follow Steps 1 - 3 in the booklet. You will be able to select other courses you are interested in and qualified to study. You will also be able to upload any additional information that may be important to support your application and explain any mitigating circumstances such as medical issues.

We will review all of the information you send through and be in touch by 18th August to confirm if we are able to offer you an alternative programme. If you have any questions about your application please get in touch admissions@suffolkone.ac.uk

Booked a Holiday over Enrolment? If you are away on holiday on 10th August, make sure you email: admissions@suffolkone.ac.uk

In order to complete all the steps of your enrolment with us you will need to visit the website, read our policies on Student Code of Conduct, ICT User Agreement and the other relevant documents.

We will let you know how to send us your results and the alternative enrolment process. If we do not receive your results on 17th August we may be unable to guarantee you a place in September.

What if I don’t get the Results I’m Expecting? If you find you haven’t got the results you were expecting, please still upload your results and we will look to see if we have a suitable programme available.

At enrolment you will be given an induction booklet that contains important information on the following:

a ICT user agreement a Student code of conduct a ID card agreement We will take your photograph by appointment to produce your ID card. You will use your ID card throughout the duration of your studies at One. When studying at One, we provide you with all the necessary equipment needed for your course. We have lots of students who bring their own laptops and other devices to college. This is particularly crucial this year due to the Covid 19 situation and the associated restrictions with handling items in accordance with health and safety regulations. You can find information on our website about how to connect your device to our network meaning you can work on your documents at home or at college.

Course Costs The studio costs are £66 which will include the materials used in the workshops and money for sketchbooks and other materials required whilst completing the course. Additional costs will need to be considered, such as the compulsory trip to Create Your Future the UCAS Fair in London. There will also be an opportunity for a residential trip for those who would like to attend.

Financial Support Financial support is available through our 16-19 Bursary for students from low income families. Please go to suffolkone.ac.uk/information/finance-one/16-19-bursary-fund to find out if you are eligible for support and to fill in our online application form.
