First Bus App Once we receive the initial payment for your bus pass, you will be issued with a unique code. When activated, you will be able to travel, at no additional cost, on any First Bus to and from your home town at any time of the day. This includes evenings, weekends and half term holidays and also the Park and Ride 800 bus between One and Ipswich town centre. Payment will not be required until enrolment in August. However we would like to ask that you complete an online application to register your interest in using this service. By declaring your expression of interest, you are helping us to gauge the number of passengers and plan-ahead for the start of September. NB: The Felixstowe, Stowmarket and Claydon One Buses are operated directly by One College and are not provided through Suffolk County Council, therefore students must apply directly to One and not Suffolk County Council.

Park & Ride Park & Ride buses operate across Ipswich between Martlesham Health and London Road passing One on a regular basis. For specific timings of the buses that drop off and pick up directly at One please head to the website below.

Travelling by Rail

Firstly, you will need to get yourself a student railcard. These can be obtained from any staffed station ticket office or online using the following link: www.railcard. co.uk You can choose from either a 16-17 railcard or a 1625 railcard which offer up to 50% discounts. You can then order your tickets online at www.greateranglia. co.uk which will automatically charge the discounted amount. If you are arriving to Ipswich by train, you can use the Park & Ride 800 service to get directly to One or Ipswich Buses number 13.

Cycling, Motorcycles & Scooters Cycles, Motorcycles and Scooters are a popular form of transport for students travelling to campus. We provide secure facilities within the car parking area. To further support cycling to college, we provide lockers and shower facilities for students. Please ask at Reception for access to the bike shed.

Students are not able to park on-site at the college. The best and safest place to leave your car is at the London Road Park and Ride which is a 10 minute walk or a hop onto the 800 bus, that passes in front of the college.

Reduce your Travel Costs Suffolk County Council’s (SCC) Post 16 Discretionary Transport scheme

Assistance with travel costs may be available through SCC’s Post 16 Discretionary Transport Scheme. Find out if your child is eligible to apply for post-16 home to school or college travel based on distance, income and SEND: You can check your eligibility by following this link: www.suffolk.gov.uk/children-families-and-learning/schools/home-to-schooltransport-and-travel/check-if-your-child-is-eligible-to-apply-for-home-toschool-or-college-transport/ You should make your application by the closing date, otherwise SCC will not guarantee a response by the start of the academic year. Please do not wait until you have received your GSCE results before you 8submit your application; you can always change your mind later. 9
