One Bus routes for Felixstowe and Stowmarket Areas We operate two contract buses from the Felixstowe and Stowmarket areas, enabling students to arrive and depart directly from One. Please find an outline of the current routes in the table below:

NB: Both the Felixstowe and Stowmarket buses are operated directly by One College and not those provided through Suffolk County Council, therefore students must apply directly to One and not Suffolk County Council.

Cycling, Motorcycles & Scooters Cycles, Motorcycles and Scooters are a popular form of transport for students travelling to the centre, and we provide secure facilities within the car parking area. To further support cycling we provide lockers and shower facilities for students to travel by Bike.

Reduce your Travel Costs Suffolk County Council’s (SCC) Post 16 Discretionary Transport scheme Assistance with travel costs may be available through SCC’s Post 16 Discretionary Transport Scheme. The following criteria must be met to qualify for the subsidised Post 16 travel offer;

Live over 3 miles from your nearest suitable provision (college or sixth form)* Live in Suffolk Are studying a full time course (minimum of 12 hours a week) Started your course before your 19th birthday Are studying a course that is only available at a facility that is not your nearest.

Greater Anglia Scholars Season Ticket Information We have an agreement set up with Greater Anglia to allow access to reduced rate travel for our students including Academic Year Season, One Term Season or Monthly Pass (by direct debit). To ease the purchasing process the most popular journeys are accessible for purchase on their website: https://public.greenrailtravel.co.uk/ or you can ring 0345 600 7245 (Option 3) between 09:0017:00 Monday-Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Discounted Fares and Season Tickets Many operators offer discounted fares and season tickets for students. To find out current schemes on offer please check with the company that operates your transport service – see the ‘Useful Contacts’ section at the end of this booklet for current contact details.

Eligible for the Student Bursary? The 16-19 Bursary Fund has 2 parts and offers help to students at One to continue in full-time education, who might otherwise be financially disadvantaged. 1. The Guaranteed Bursary: A bursary of £1,200 a year for young people in the following defined vulnerable groups: • • • •

In care Care leaver In receipt of Income Support, or Universal Cred it in place of Income Support in their own right In receipt of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) or Universal Credit and Disability Living or Personal Independence Payments in their own right.

2. The Discretionary Bursary: All students not in receipt of the Guaranteed Bursary can apply for the Discretionary fund if the family income is £25,000 per annum or below.
