GCSE Re-sits

Full information on bringing in your own device (B.Y.O.D) and how to connect to our network can be found on our website. Students are also able to download the latest version of Microsoft Office on up to 5 personal devices free of charge. Your copy of Office will be valid as long as you are a student at One.

Did you not achieve the grade you wanted in one or more of your GCSEs? Whilst we are not able to support you in the content (apart from with English or Maths) we might be able to offer you the opportunity to pay for a re-sit in May/June. Speak to Lyn or Tracey in the Exams office (SS004) to find out more. In Touch We use a system called SIMS InTouch for communicating with students and parents via personal email addresses. This email address and that of your parent/carer will be used to send out assessment reports, invitations to events, reminders and many other pieces of information. It is important that if your email address changes, you let your PPT know immediately so we can update this. During one of your tutorials, early in the academic year we will issue a data sheet that asks you to check the details. Please amend this and return as appropriate.

LRC We have some fantastic facilities available in our Learning Resource Centre. You can borrow these resources by using your Student ID card. Consultation evening dates are on 25th and 27th Feburary. Our online appointment booking system will contact you directly so it is important that emails are up to date and correct. One Community Now you’re part of the One community, we hope you’ll do your bit to carry on the positive ethos we strive for at One. We think it’s really important that our students and staff work in a tidy, uncluttered and relaxed atmosphere. Please help us keep it this way by clearing away your litter and respecting your surroundings. This year, many of our students have been keen on ‘going green’ and therefore we’re trying to do our bit for the environment by introducing green initiatives:

As you will have heard in the news, plastic coffee cups are a huge problem for the environment. That’s why we’re promoting the use of thermal mugs. You can even purchase one from us for just £3! We have many more green initiatives taking place too, such as: biodegradable salad boxes, edible straws and more on the horizon.

P

There is no parking available on site for students, however we have organised for students to use their Endeavour Card to park at the Copdock Park and Ride for £1.85 per day, per passenger and at Martlesham Park and Ride for £2.25 per day, per passenger. Please always be considerate of local residents when parking.
