AUCTIONEER’S CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. The stock will be exposed according to the lots and numbers in the following catalogue and the highest offer on each lot will be preferred to the purchaser. 2. The Bawnogue flock was established in 1961, 53 years ago, with the purchase of five ewes from Mr W.Osbourne. Over these years we have won many championships at both Premier Show & Sales. We also competed in other national and local shows such as The Spring Show and Tullamore Show. Some of Bawnogue’s Achievements Supreme Champion at the Premier Sales in 2000, 2002, 2005 we also had Reserve Champion in 2003, 2004, 2008. Best group of three Ram Lambs 2002, 2004, 2006. Annakisha & Clyda Suffolks The Annakisha Flock which was established in 1952 by the late Arthur O’Keeffe and the Clyda Flock which was founded by Susan O’Keeffe in 1988 have won 15 Championships and 11 Reserves at the RDS and National Championships. Many other successes for both flocks followed, the most notable of recent years being; • 10 Times winner of the Male and Supreme Champion at the Premier Show and Sale, 11 times Reserve • 10 Times winner of Female Champion Premier Show and Sale • 9 Times winner of the Group of Three Ram Lambs at the Premier Show and Sale, 7 Times Reserve • 7 Times winner of Sire of the Year, 3 Times Reserve and 4 times winner of Homebred Sire of the Year • 15 Times winner of the Female of the Year, 14 times Reserve The Clyda flock has won the Champion Irish Flock and Champion ewe lambs 5 times with the Annakisha Flock Reserve once. The Clyda was Reserve Bristol Gold Cup and won the Sainsbury Cup. We have not entered the Flock competition since 1999 due to time constraints. Annakisha and Clyda are consistent winners at both shows and sales throughout the country, winning All-Ireland Pair of ewe lambs on numerous occasions, as well as champions at Birr, Roscrea, Tullamore and Fermoy. Shannagh & Castleisle Suffolk’s The Shannagh/Castleisle flocks continue to be at the forefront of Irish Suffolk’s, since 2005 at Roscrea Premier Sale the flocks have won the novice class, the open ram lamb class on 5 occasions, the overall champion 4 times, reserve overall champion three times, group of three & reserve female champion, whilst in 2010 we secured the 2nd & 3rd top prices selling for €4,300 & €3,000. In the last 10 years the flocks have secured the top or 2nd top averages at the Roscrea Premier Sale on 8 occasions. 2014 has been another successful year with our three lambs sold at the Scottish premier sale in Stirling, once again achieving one of the top ten averages of €3200, whilst in Roscrea our team of rams averaged €1360 selling to €1700 including the first prize winner from the weight recorded class. We are also delighted to see the champion of the Galway county show this year, whose dam was purchased in-lamb at our sale last year, and progeny selling in Roscrea at €600, €1800 and in Stirling at €2400 as a result of a previous sale.
