FAST Our self-sufficient organisation means we’re fast and flexible. We streamline the entire investigation process by having our own fleet of plant and equipment; our own staff; and in-house testing laboratory. From initial site works to final reporting, we are in control of the delivery – that’s why we can reliably fast track our phase of your project. Our rapid delivery is enhanced by the use of our bespoke AGS site data transfer system. As site data is recorded, it’s instantly communicated to our office for prompt assessment and inclusion in your report. Clients can access their reports swiftly at our client download centre.

SKILLED Our team of skilled engineers and geotechnical experts carry out comprehensive site investigations across the UK, to determine geological and contamination characteristics. We provide a full suite of geotechnical drilling, sampling and testing services, along with a range of environmental risk management and sustainability services. Our experts can produce both factual and interpretative geo-environmental reports on the prevailing ground, and have worked on prestigious projects such as: • Multiple phases of the M25 rapid widening scheme • The Olympic Park • Kings Cross re-development project • Coldham, Boardinghouse, Bicker Fen and Bigglswade windfarm developments • Large scale, rapid turn-around ground investigation for a major bridge replacement programme for Network Rail We also have extensive experience of working over water; on highly contaminated sites; the rail environment, renewable energy sector, and with the MOD and Environment Agency.

Extensive experience delivering large site investigation contracts valued over £750K. Key skills include client liaison, technical data analysis and interpretative report writing and authorisation. Responsible for a diverse team of experienced and highly skilled engineers, field operatives, foremen and technical laboratory staff.

Over 27 years’ experience of managing and supervising all aspects of site investigation contracts throughout the UK. John also has expertise in laboratory testing and management.

Paul Lewin, BSc FGs Engineer

Over 24 years’ experience drilling/supervising site investigation contracts throughout the UK. Mark has management responsibility for our site teams, and oversees health and safety, project programming and the logistics of getting plant to site.

Responsible for the planning and smooth running of all aspects of site investigation operations; production of desk studies, factual and interpretative reporting.

We provide a broad range of geotechnical investigation services, including: • Rotary drilling – including geo-bore S wireline coring • Class 1 sampling of soils & rock to meet Eurocode 7 requirements • Cable percussive drilling • Dynamic sampling/probing • Trial pitting • Window sampling • L ab testing of soils and materials • Plate bearing tests, California bearing ratio, mackintosh & TRL probes • Instrumentation and monitoring (gas, ground water, and soil movement) • In-situ testing (strength, permeability and compressibility) • Rapid delivery of site derived data

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FACT

Our senior team has over 100 years’ combined site investigation experience.

We provide a range of environmental risk management and sustainability services, including: • Pre-development, non-intrusive land quality assessments • Contaminated land investigation and risk assessments • Feasibility testing for sustainable drainage solutions • Material testing for suitability/re-use of recycled materials • Ground gas risk assessments

RESTRICTED ACCESS SOLUTIONS Our practical experience and knowledge of plant and equipment have enabled us to develop many bespoke solutions to enable effective and economic strategies for working on and over water; on steep slopes, and in restrictive places.

FASTRACK LABORATORY Based at our head office, we have a fully equipped in-house Fastrack soil testing Laboratory. Our geological experts and technicians carry out a comprehensive range of soil tests to BS1377:1990. We also offer a range of BRE testing; concrete testing; specialist chemical contamination testing; and a Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) testing service. We provide rapid turnaround analysis, which can be accessed swiftly at our client download centre.
