Landscape Architecture & Urban Design CONCEPT ANALYSIS DESIGN
The insertion of community grasslands into the existing community public space promotes the diverse aesthetic and values of grasslands to communi ty members and invites them onto the wilderness grasslands.
GRASSLAND AWARENESS
Grassland Hub creates a series of functional zones within the confirmed grassland reserve parcel through landscape interventions that help vis itors to have a grassland experience while contributing to the long-term sustainability of the grassland.
Through the promotion of grassland awareness a variety of native grass land landscapes are created in dif ferent land parcels to help increase the visibility of the landscape and act as an ecological network to enhance habitat connectivity. Wetland Restoration Program
the grassland hub, provides various of grassland experiences in the site to the level of condition of are contribute to the sustainability of get ting grassland HUB MASTER
Inspired by the widespread, social, cultural and environmental values of Australian native grass lands, this project reimagines the roles of grassland reserves at the fringe of Melbourne metropolitan. Through iterative designs, the project discovers that grasslands of various scales can enhance both spatial and social connections, become sites of attractions, production and education, and plays a critical role in reducing negative impacts caused by climate change. This project examines grassland in the west of Melbourne, where it is challenged by urban extension and is at risk of disappearing.
Considering the future surrounding urban contexts, this project tests out different spatial structures, mixes of functions and landscape design languages. It takes into account community participations

PLANTING CENTER
The Grassland planting Centre is placed in the human dominate area of the site and invites visitors to partic ipate as volunteers in the planting of native plants, allowing them to gain experience in growing native veg etation while helping to provide the necessary plant sources for grassland restoration on and off site. The Plant ing Centre is divided into a Genral Vegetation Area and an Endangered Species Area depending on the type of plants being grown, allowing vol unteers of all levels to participate.
Planting Pattern
Bio-Reactor
Inspired by Southern Cross University’s organic contaminant control experiments at the Hearnes Lake catchment (Shane White, 2021), the project recognizes that even a fully organic planting process can introduce contamination into the site, so this phase of the detailed design places bio-reactors in all planting areas to minimize the impact of possible organic contamination on the site.
Restored native grasslands provides a sense of being in the grassland.

Informal Settlement Upgrade
This landscape architecture research studio program is a community landscape upgrade program that builds on the existing RISE settlement upgrade program, which aims to provide affordable water infrastructure upgrades to informal settlements in cities in developing countries and thereby improve water security for local residents. The Alla-Alla informal settlement in Makassar city, Indonesia, was selected as the design study site to discuss how a landscape architectural approach could be used to further enhance the livability of the informal settlement in an environment where the infrastructure has been optimised. The resulting landscape provides a more equitable use of space for each household, supports the community in production and creates new public spaces to enhance community cohesion at a level beyond the household.

Drought: Drought is always a severe problem on Victorian Agriculture. Detailed impacts of severe drought has been mentioned by Austra lian department of agriculture(2018) that a se vere drought year can causes 53% decline of crop yield and 17% decline of livestocks. Con sidering that the Central Highlands Regions is an important agricultural town dominated by cropping-grazing system, it’s necessary to understand and respond the impacts of drought.

By using landscape feature layers such as geographic unit, digital elevation model(DEM), soil type and land cover image, the research is able to expose relationships between land scape features and affected Agricultural region through reclassify and weighted overlay. Then further mechanism about How and where does drought affect cropping-grazing area would be clarified to support design/planning specula tion.

Grasshopper Tool Making Research CAD Design Drawing
Octopus path finder is a landscape planning tool developed in Grasshop per for Rhino through an open source workflow. This tool is used to find the optimal path when travel between two points on a map that is disturbed by impenetrable areas introduced as barricades. This functionality gives Octopus path finder a ability to develop future potential in urban plan ning, design of travellers' paths in ecological re serves, etc.
This work is a part of CAD redrawing class. I show this work to demonstrate my software skills on computer aided drafting program.

The master plan of the site shows the distribution of vertical landscapes in the community. The four circles in the figure are the different combinations of four prototypes in the block. Similar prototypes are distributed in different locations in the block.
This project examines the economic context and physical structure of disadvantaged communities and discusses the potential for vertical green infrastructure to enhance the economic mobility of communities through 3d modelling.
Taking the urban agriculture mod ule as the main body, it provides a landscape exchange space to en hance the community construction while improving the income and health of community members.
Children's play module, connecting and improv ing the existing small children's park, designed micro-topography and height difference create a child-friendly landscape space for children to play.

Function of Communal Park
The picture shows a classic type of vertical landscape in the Belmont community. In the vertical structure of two to three floors, there are spaces for different functions such as urban farms, children's playgrounds and community exchange spac es. Depending on the site's existing site, other vertical land scapes of the same type that interfere with the Belmont com munity can be selected for the most appropriate conversion among the plural functional modules.
