PROPERTIES OF ALUMINUM Melting Point: 933.47 K (660.32 °C) Boiling point: 2743 K (2470 °C) Heat of fusion: 10.71 kJ/mol Density (at r.t.): 2.70 g/cm3 when liquid (at m.p.): 2.375 g/cm3
USAGE OF ALUMINUM 
Transportation - Aluminum is used in transportation industry for making bodies of planes, trains, etc. because of its light weight and strength.
Packaging Aluminum is widely used in packaging as cans, foils etc. due to its good corrosion resistance. 
Construction Aluminum is widely used in construction due to its ability of being shaped into curves which can’t be a case as in wood or iron. 

CONSUMPTION OF ALUMINUM
57710 thousand tons of aluminum was consumed in 2015 globally.
ALUMINUM RECYCLING Brazil recycles up to 98.2% of the aluminum cans produced. The cost of recycling is just 5% of what is required to produce the same amount of metal from its ore i.e. bauxite.  So, it is preferred for aluminum to be recycled rather than extracting it from its ore. It is the only material that pays off really well for recycling. 

Aluminium cans and foil are collected from a recycle bin.

Transporting the waste to the recycling plant

Shredding of aluminum cans into smaller pieces
ï‚¢
Compacting the shredded waste

Melting of waste at 7500C

Casting molten aluminum into ingots, rods etc.
