This pandemic has shifted the way we use our homes, also making it important to suit the person’s lifestyle. A few famous personalities were chosen as clients and Movie sets as sites. And convert them into quarantine space (studio apartment) that suits the personality’s lifestyle.

Project type: Studio Apartment for Satyajit Ray (Site: Mr. Park’s house, Parasite)

The Studio began with watching ‘Parasite’ directed by Bong Joon-ho. The set of the movie took the role of Site and the client was Satyajit Ray. The Brief was to create a quarantine home for Satyajit Ray for a year (temporal). After which the Site would be used normally as before.

Which sets constraints to not build and destruct any permanent Architectural element of the existing in site. Followed by a Branding exercise, Designing Logo, Business cards and Social media handles.

As Satyajit Ray once said in his Interview, ‘My roots are here in Bengal, My work is here and I never want to leave it’ All the elements are inspired by the rich handicrafts of Bengal which would create the essence of Bengal. At the same time Satyajit ray was a very contemporary person who kept himself updated. The Interiors is amalgamation of Contemporary and vernacular handicrafts
