“Luxury apartments planned relevant to the climactic condition and human comfort with refreshing open spaces The concept was to have a duplex unit fused inbetween the individual unit with an extra bedroom that goes down or up which is a part duplex.C and D block follows this concept . Artha whitefield paradise is a luxury apartments constructed in banglore where IT parks are nearby so there was a increase in demand for this habitat.Marvellous it may seem costs 60009 INR per square feet.

AERIAL SYMBIOSIS Masters Thesis project Behavioural production - Investigating Swarm Printing | London, UK AA School of Architecture M.arch Thesis, Febrauary 2016- january 2017 Team : 4 members Tutor : Robert Stuart Smith Assistant Tutors : Tyson Hosmer, Melhem Sfeir Role : Design development ( Maya ), Manual model extrusion techniques , Use of Robotic arm , CNC Milling and intergration of grasshopper code generation for robotic fabrication , Hardware development ( Arduino), Processing Design Simulations , Animations explaining concepts , Rendering and Visualizations, Structural analysis, environmental analysis , Physical Models

Aerial Symbiosis explores material behaviour, flight control and swarm collaboration through physical and digital explorations resulting in self-supporting structures that evolve from agent swarming while having the ability to grow over time. To achieve this the material investigations conducted by our team integrate adaptive aerial printing techniques using spray polyurethane foam as a proxy working alongside computational vision techniques. Design + Construction = One Single Process Utilising a layer by layer printing technique in relation to the material behaviour both manual and robotic controlled deposition was tested by our team using CNC machine. KUKA Robotic arm and UAVs(Unarmed Aerial Vehicles). The research investigates the use of vanishing ink for adaptive stigmergic alignment using onboard camera vision of multicopters in real time printing and decision making. These different tests led to a tube bunding system that acts both as an articulated structure and an intrinsic surface that merge as a synthesised formation. For testing our team chose a scenario on a remote terrain on Zhangijajie National Forest Park, China. Within this environment there is a need for the constant monitoring of rare species that are on the verge of extinction. Our research find its use in this remote location where autonomous site scanning, species detection and computer vision techniques become inevitable for real time construction processes. Our design research projects its form as an architectural space, an adaptable research lab and accommodation for less human habitation and explores its relation with the space for UAV habitation for several activities which would coexist and contribute in preserving the ecology.

DESUGN STRATEGIES - TUBULAR INTERCONNECTIONS

Time based design construction process involves agent to agent design principles that majorly engages the leader agent and the guiding agent principle . These rules evolve into differnt kind of design spaces that creates a coexistence of UAVs and humans . Tube to surface transformations help in space formations . While tubular bundling helps as a structural support.

The inclination of the ramp is 30 degree, With a ramp ratio of 1:12

42

According to the Urban Survey and analysis, there seemed to be a traffic congestion which was a serious issue in the tourist spot , so a pedestrian bridge was proposed. The design evolves from the necessity of curvature and the shelter is semi enclosed with parametric derivation of holes which bring natural light into the walkway. The pedestrian bridge has three main features based on the observed human activity and environment. The width of the bridge being 5m with a 3m cycling track in the middle and 1.5m walking space on both the sides.

Bus terminal is a live proposal from the government which imposes free pedestrian and circulation pattern made for the ease of the people. Separation of the bus movement and pedestrian movement adds advantage to the planning. Growth in terms of deformation to this grid responds to objectives in the both program and context. Essentially this process creates drama from normalcy , movement and life from a static source.

The material Behaviour relating to design and structure is explored in this workshop. Material properties are throughly studied and experimented with basic material deposition. Several digital studies are done relating to the materials behaviour . Gravity simulations derive certain conclusions which are compared with actual material depoition and the behaviour. Bees wax is a phase changing material cooled down with water . Structural methodology is digitally explored with hoop snake plugin in grasshopper to determine the number of triangulations and the direction of stability.

The material used was white beeswax. After some experimantation with other kinds of wax we discovered that beeswax works best. It is easier to melt and control and it provides for beter cohesion. The material was bought in beads.

WAX TRIANGULATION

The triangulation logic was useful interms of structural logistics of self supporting and spanning wax elements. The base points are fixed and the growth happens depending on connections with the vertica element of shorter distance.
