Summer Mocktails
Imagine coming home to a chilled bottle of home made cooler on a hot summer day after college. Sounds heavenly doesn’t it? A great remedy to the heat and easy to make and store, these mocktails will make your life easier. With ingredients produced within 100 kms, they are a healthy option to stay fit this summer!
Basil & Lemon Mojito
Just the drink for a hot summer afternoon with lunch or a coolant after a sunny outdoor trip!
INGREDIENTS 18-20 small basil leaves. 1-2 tbsp sugar 1 pinch of salt Add 2 tbsp lemon juice Crushed ice cubes Sparkling water
PREPARATION In a pitcher add basil leaves and lemon. Add sugar and a pinch of salt to it. Muddle with a pestle and add sparkling water. Add fresh lime juice and crushed ice cubes. Serve with sparkling water and crushed basil leaves and a slice of lemon to taste. (Serves 4)

A refreshing and energizing remedy to an upset stomach or an unhppy mind on a hot summer day!
INGREDIENTS 1 cucumber 1 cup mint leaves 1.5 cup fresh lime juice water or soda
PREPARATION Puree chopped cucumber and frsh mint leaves in a blender until smoth and strain through a fine mesh sives into a large pitcher. Add fresh lime juice and sliced cucumber and refrigerate for 2 hrs. Stir well before serving. Serve over ice, garnished with lime slices. (Serves 2)
