Hello and welcome to my design portfolio. Below you will find a handful of some of my projects to date. Please do get in touch if you wish to hire me for any freelance or one off projects! My specialities are magazine and brochure designing and of course publishing my latest magazine: The Magazine TW7 & TW8, which is a local community magazine publication.
THE CLIENT: BIM is a group of architects and construction employees, who create articles to spread news across the regional, environmental and building work they undergo and maintain. THE BRIEF: To design, layout, style and image source for all articles provided and create a corporate looking magazine. Articles are provided in a word document, which is to be reformatted into InDesign software. THE TOOLS: I used InDesign to re-format all the text and restyled using a new matching font. I sourced images and used Photoshop where necessary to enhance photographic colours. Also I hand drew illustrations where appropriate, to match with articles content.
THE CLIENT: MERCANTA is a workforce of coffee hunters. They are passionate about coffee and get right to the seed and bean of how coffee is made and where it originates from. THE BRIEF: To design, layout and create imagery for all the articles provided and portray all information into a magazine or booklet. A contemporary, minimalistic feel with lots of padding and lots of white space was what the client had in mind. THE TOOLS: I used InDesign to create the magazine/booklet. I found a font that was contemporary and fresh also in keeping with the modern minimalistic visual effect and appeal that was required by the client.
