FORUM I
SUMMARY Registered interior designer is important as it is. It will gain client trust their interior design consultancy practice have been around locally for a long time prior to the registration board is to help to filter which person is worth it to be an interior designer. Is Interior designers & organization of MIID. An interior designer will be a similar job as a doctor or a lawyer. The IDCP Registration necessary to establish an interior design consultancy practice? If someone is not on the Register, they are not an interior designer they are not qualified to do an interio designer job. As the end of the summary interior designer is one of the profession that needs a qualification to help safety of people. If theres no such thing as registered interior designer or board for interior designer it give privilege for un educated student who are just “trying on” job without taking it seriously. How this industry is actually very crutial when it come to design. It could be danger for peoples lives if we design wrongly.

My first webinar is keynote address by Jonathan Yabut. The speaker is very vocal which is a good thing. Most of the webinar is very hard to focus with because seminar were online, there are no interanction between the speaker and the audience. But Mr yabut surely did a very fun webinar which give the audience wants to hear about what he says. Seeing his perspective about life collage- university and after graduated makes me realised how the reality not based on templete. We actually creating our own templete and story. We learn in study from we were kids that we have to get high grades if we wanna success. i’m not the type of person who always get good grades in school. I’m always in the middle grades person which means that my grades its always ok not fantastic. But I know I can do better. Since my internship programme I learn that what im good at. There’s different when we study and we work in real world industry. Yes school will benefit people to get a job, it will give the privilege but does is gurantee you to make a success person? Or a happy person doing their job? Most of the webinar speaker that I attend other that mr yabut are also very interesting and it open my mindset continue. But most of the webinar topic is very general which I can took the lesson for my future, Eventhough its not about the career that I wanted to take. When I look at my family, friends, my mom’s friend dad’s friends, there are people who graduated in ivy league university, there people who got first honurs on their study and some of them who doesn’t graduated at all. But There are all different dep ense on their mindset, their mindset towards life. I study aboard to actually , learn how to live in a real world. Eventhough now Im still living with my family money but other than that I see the bigger perspective toward anything. On the first until third semes ter I really focus about my study only because I think that’s what I should repossible with. But this pandemic makes me have to go back to my country and doing study online. First it was tough because it’s a new adjustment for me to study just infront of the tablets or laptop only. But the bright sight is it got me thinking that I should do something about my activity. While im doing courses online since I were in my country I got many links that I have to open something and learn something new that’s where I started my online baking business. While doing my courses. I feel like im that kind of person who doesn’t want to be pro at one thing, im a person who wants to know everything, im always curious about something new. Creating an online bakery is very different than my courses that im doing. But it’s a good thing, I learn to marketing I also do some creative designer for my brand which I can also use that for my future in interior architecture, if I want to build a firm in the future. I learn how to deal with finances, and how to run a business. It really to learn how to deal with such a small problem but it could be if the problem are many. What every career that I want to persue in the future the basic foundation that I feel it really important is to know everything. Atleast we wanted to learn new things in life get bigger perspective to grab your future. This is some of the webinar that I took,(I didn’t screen shoot all of them)

Many individuals assume that barrier-free facilities are just for government departments and specialized groups, and they are accustomed to viewing them through a lens that is irrelevant to them. A law should be improved to make it easier for disabled persons to flee in the any project that will be contructed for an emergency. Most of the café and restaurant in Malaysia are pretty pact in terms of space, this should be a high consideration for the board to make this issue. I believe that design that is accessible to disabled persons should be high considered, especially in the event of an emergency. Eventhough in café or restaurant that have minimum budget than the other high building need to be consider use for accessible design, maybe they don’t need a big modern lift, but atleast there will be other option for the accessible user to use it. Not only stairs or lift, in this case (café or restaurant) they might need some space for the accessible user to use for ex: the one who use wheelchair, the café or restaurant might need the bigger space for them. The barrier-free design creates an environment that supports the autonomous functioning of differently abled people, allowing them to access and engage in daily activities such as purchasing products and services, communal living, employment, and recreation without help. It will provide greater convenience and a more comfortable living for all disabled people, allowing them to remain at home rather than in special care facilities. In addition, the majority of people have at least one disabled family member. You have a considerable possibility of experiencing a significant temporary or permanent impairment at some time in your life

particularly necessary to change or make adjustments to the by-laws as it is to prevent the loss of any life, but we as designers have to be the one that takes all considerations during the designing process even if it has a high cost. At the end of the day, these safety requirements and preventions are still to prevent loss of life during emergencies such as fires so cost of maintenance should not matter and be taken as a priority. Fire safety based on UBBL was made for us interior designers to follow the requirement that was made to build a building. All regulations regarding fire safety or fire protection are important as following the standard that has been made will avoid fire risk and problems. But since there are a lot of standards that need to be considered and followed, it might be confusing for interior designers. We have to know how we apply the travel distance standard to our building with our space design as this is the most important for me in case there is a fire in a building, and people inside must exit the building. Our local fire safety regulations are meant to cover the majority of buildings and focus more on the structural element of the building inorder to contain the fire. I believe that we should pay more attention to passive fire protection since it's very crucial, it helps to keep the fire from spreading and give more time for people to escape the building. Also, compartmentation in the building is very important, for protection and fire resistance.
