Congratulations to Logan on having the Reserve Champion Market Lamb at the 2018 San Antonio Livestock Show!

My name is Logan Jackson from Lipan, Texas, and my show program consists of market lambs and market goats. We feed 25 head of sheep and five goats a year. Hard work is one of our core values, and we take pride in what we do. We set high goals and work toward reaching them every day. I have been able to be successful because we spend countless hours in the barn and make sure our animals look their best at all times. Showing with my family means everything to me. Without my family, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Winning is fun but winning with your family by your side makes it even more memorable and worth all the hard work we have done together. What is your favorite livestock show? North American International Livestock Expo What is your favorite breed? Crossbreds and Hampshires What are your future goals? My future goals are to win as many major and national livestock shows as I can until I can’t show anymore. I also plan to get a degree in Architecture at Texas A&M University. Who are your role models? My role models are Chad Walker, Logan MacLennan, and Jordan Amburgey. These three have taught me everything I know about lambs and goats. Without them I wouldn’t be the showman that I am today nor, would I have had the success that I have had without them. What advice do you have for fellow showmen? A show tip that I have is to get focused and show your project to your best ability. Also make sure that your project looks its best everytime it enters the ring.

Logan on Sullivan’s Flare ... Sullivan’s Flare is light and gives the leg hair a shine that you can’t get from any other product on the market. It also doesn’t make the hair appear wet and heavy. Flare gives the extra volume and shape to the hair that we have been looking for in the show lamb world. We use Flare every time we enter a show ring. Just blow and brush it in and reapply until the leg hair is show ready. Flare gave my San Antonio lamb’s wool more shine and volume that he wouldn’t have had without this product.

“Flare is the greatest product ever created”

My name is Carson Wheeler from Luther, Oklahoma, my show career started in 2012 with two goats, a wether and a doe. I didn’t know what I was doing, but knew I didn’t like standing at the bottom of the class. Shortly after my first year, I had the opportunity to show more high-quality goats from a family friend. The guidance they gave me both in choosing show animals and how to prep them for show day put me on the path I’m on today. I’m lucky to have people that care and wanted to share their knowledge with me. I have been fortunate enough to meet and become friends with several breeders throughout my show career. These relationships have allowed me to find high-quality animals year after year from across the United States. I purchase all my show animals myself, so finding quality animals at a reasonable price is very important to me. Its satisfying to me to take a doe that was not high on anyone’s list and do very well with her. It proves that the work you put into your animal is more important than the money you spend. What is your favorite livestock show? Oklahoma Youth Expo What is your favorite breed?

Commerical Boer Does

What is your future goals? Attend Oklahoma State University and continue to be successful with my livestock at both the state and national levels. Who are your role models? Noah Teel for being a great motivator and teacher, and also my parents for teaching me to be humble win or lose. What advice do you have for fellow showmen? Don’t ever give up on something that challenges you, the end accomplishments will benefit you greatly.

Carson on Sullivan’s Powderful... Sullivan’s White Powderful is one of my favorite products on show day. It has the ability to add depth to my goat’s legs without adding a lot of weight to the hair. It helps gives the legs a thicker, fuller look, but still looks natural. I also love how Powderful helps to dry the Tail Adhesive, so I can clip more quickly and easily. If you are using Powderful on your goat make sure to spray it on after you put Tail Adhesive in the hair, it will help you clip out the leg easier. Spray light coats on, and you will see a drastic improvement in the leg. This product is a must for everyone on show day, I use it on all my champions and highly recommend it.

“give the legs a thicker, fuller look while still looking natural”

Congratulations to Tyleigh on having the Reserve Champion Market Barrow at the 2018 Fort Worth Stock Show!

My name is Tyleigh Price from Snyder, Texas. My family and I own and operate a program that specifically targets show pigs. Our targeted show preparation starts in the fall gearing up for the major show season. We begin with a small group of show prospects, and we manage them until we only have a few final hogs dialed in for the shows. Hard work is critical in our operation with exercising and daily management to get our hogs to the final drive. Showing is a huge bonding experience for my family, and it allows me to spend a lot of quality time with my dad, stepmom and little sister. It is also special to me because I am carrying on the family tradition as both my mom and dad grew up showing as did their parents. What is your favorite livestock show? Houston Livestock Show What is your favorite breed?

Crossbred

What is your future goals? I would like to win every major livestock show by the time I graduate high school and then attend Texas A&M to major in Ag Business or Communications. Who are your role models? My friends Sydney Love and Jessica Dammers have made a huge impact on my with their support, they really took me under their wings and showed me the person I strive to be. What advice do you have for fellow showmen? No matter what happens in the ring always be humble, and don’t let it get you down, remember that day is one man’s opinion.

Tyleigh on Sullivan’s Show Glo ... Show Glo is a product that I really like, and it gave my barrow a fresh and light shine, and a flawless look to his skin. On show day it takes all of the little things falling into place in order for your stars to align, I feel our success is due to the products that we used, and Show Glo put the cherry on top to help me to achieve my goal. I spray Show Glo all over the top and body of my hog about 15 minutes before heading to the ring. When it sets in it really bring a fresh, natural shine to the skin. One tip I would have is to spray a little water with a pump up sprayer onto your hog when you get to the show ring to really help that skin glisten with Show Glo.

“Show Glo gave my barrow a fresh and light shine and a flawless look”
