As we balance providing high-quality care for our patients, teaching the next generation of clinicians, developing new models of care and remaining financially strong through it all, we remain aware of the great responsibility we have to our patients and members. It’s a responsibility we embrace and take very seriously.

In the midst of this changing healthcare industry, we remain focused on what’s important: providing quality care for our patients. In 2022, we migrated to our own instance of Epic, an electronic medical record system. This $47 million capital investment allowed us to gain technologies that represent the best practices of healthcare systems across the country, vastly improving the patient experience.

Healthcare systems nationwide are working tirelessly to evolve their organizations. I am confident that our extraordinary team is more than up to the challenge of staying at the forefront of our industry and continuing to improve the care and experience we provide to this community. My job is to create a culture of engagement and feedback at Summa Health that will help guide those decisions and ensure that we are always focused on serving our community and one another.

We also remain dedicated to our mission of population health. We will improve the patient experience by providing access to care at the right place at the right time, and coordinating the care between every patient’s team of caregivers. This allows us to provide higher quality care at lower costs.
