“As a designer I want to create an atmosphere that expresses emotion and leaves a lasting impression. I believe by focusing on holistic-design, innovation, functionality, and sustainability then I will make an impact on society”
Summer Rae Jansen
ABOUT ME I was bor n and r aised in For t Lauderdale , Flor ida. I gr aduated with summa cum laude honor s from Flor ida State Univer sity’s Inter ior Architecture and Design Progr am with my Bachelor’s Degree . I have always attr ibuted my passion as a designer to my family and my exper iences with design as I have grown. I was even more inspired after I studied my fir st semester of college abroad in Valencia, Spain and grew fond of European architecture and design. I made the decision to be a designer because I love expressing my creativity through inter ior environments and resolving the challenges that come along with it. I recently became a LEED Green Associate and the education I have received is par amount for design in this er a. The environment is where I find inspir ation, and to me it is substantial that we reduce our impr int in all aspects. I design by specifying wisely and educating other s; to me this is one step to the solution of creating a more sustainable future .
